I like the onos thing a lot, its so big u cant miss it neway so the hitboxes arent that bad, the marines grenades will be awesome, when i first started playing i kept wanting grenades, but how powerful will they be? im hoping theyre stronger or at least have a larger blast radius than than the Gl's atm to make it worthwhile, since you only get 1 per life.
Have fades been changed much? im too lazy to read the whole thing although i should. And i like the lerk's biting now, it'll be a good combo with the dive thing and spikes **** me off, spores, spikes, spores, spikes plus an onos = marine spawn down.

Nothing on Auto-switch? Is it un-fixable or something? I'm sure I don't need to tell you how annoying it is to pick up a welder or an empty weapon while in the middle of a gunfight.

I see lots and lots of alien nerfs, some marine buffs and some marine nerfs.
I like distress beacon allowing you to respawn every marine at base intantly, even the living ones. It will stop the "you kill one of our hives and our onos kill your base" strat for aliens.
IMO, NS 2.01 is balanced, not for 6v6 but for 7v7 and maybe 8v8. Usually marines lose because they are playing 1.04 tech rush, avoiding the aliens and getting RTs. I have seen commanders sending marines to RT spots near the aliens hive to kill gorges while they were gestating and it worked pretty damn good, even if you need to spend some medpaks to survive the skulks, its -10 res and an RT for them.
Maybe people should try playing more offensively as marines. Like, killing alien RTs and stopping their growth before getting RTs of their own.
According to a recent post by Flayra, the devs just tracked down what should be the last major performance killing bug, which should allow us to start playing serious games of standard NS when the next build comes out "before this weekend". Lag has decreased a lot over the last couple builds but there are still some issues that make serious games difficult to play all the way through. This next build will probably make it good enough for all those clanners to start seriously scrimming and really testing out standard NS instead of mostly Combat mode. It's been hard to find a good game of normal NS lately, so I'm looking forward to this weekend.
