Picking Up Handgrenades

<div class="IPBDescription">priming</div> Is it possible for prime the greandes or when you throw them down by accident pick them back up by hitting "e" like in dod. Cause priming them would be awsome

    You don't prime a grenade by dropping it and then picking it up. That's a DoD specific workaround, and is counter-intuitive (and quite frankly stupid).

    You MIGHT be able to prime a grenade in the future by more conventional means -- remains to be seen.

    Your hopes are way to high for grenades there kirchy. the nades have 4 second timers and no instant enemy touch explosion plus it also sounds like they are really weak but we can dream.

    damn, better make them hard to see or ill NEVER blow anything up...
    are they going to hurt if you hit something with them? in dod it did like 10 dmg if you naild someone in the head with a nade!

    just try it with the 4 sec grenades, it'll work better than dropping it, picking it up and throwing it, which is an exploit BTW

    The nade might be more like a CS throw it and blow it kind of nade. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> The nade still needs balancing its just been introduced give it time. Seems a lot of people would be content if it were more like an HE nade where it explodes on a low fuse.

    What the nade does is to 1) Scare all surronding aliens but Onos away 2) Explode in the face of an alien which is fleeing if your calculations is correct and you throw in the right directions 3) Throw into a vent to send Lerks flying away 4) Severely injure careless aliens 5) Get rid of large numbers of Offensive Chambers

    As you can see, it has many uses, thus, it is good enough currently.

    just think... if you COULD prime the nade, then then the aliens wouldnt stand a chance.

    I think the marines have so many long range weapons already. The best for aliens is lerk spike, and that thing is weak plus at 2 hives. Marines totally own with their rifles.

    Umm have you actually played the new version? It doesn't really do any of those things. Its still waiting to find its place in NS.

    Seeing it is rather hard, but the sound makes up for it. It couldn't be any louder and more obvious than it is, and it appears to do even less damage than the GL nades do.

    I guess it's kinda nice for scaring that lerk in a base vent into moving back, healing, and then coming back when you have no nade. Shrug. The comm is better off spending res on a GL than he is giving his team hand nades atm.
