Blocking Alt Tab

Does anyone know of a way I can block alt-tab, so windows doesn't minimze hl when I press it (binding +voicerecord to alt and +showscores to tab isnt a very bright idea)
Or at least tell me when using mouse buttons in commander mode will be fixed (mine are borked, I thought this was supposed to be fixed in 2.0)

Maybe I just need to do a toggle to rebind stuff depending on if im comm or not..
Does Shift Tab do anything in NS? How about ctrl tab?

I have that same exact problem. I have used alt for voice for forever (all my cs days, and ns), but there are those times I am talking and go to see scores... then my game crashes :\. I would bind it to something esle, but I am stubborn, and I like it there <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'>.

I evetually gave up and made two binds (You can block alt-tab and ctrl alt del on Non-NT based systems (win9x))
one unbinds the commander hotkeys, and binds ctrl to +voicerecord, the other binds the commander hotkeys back to what they were before, and rebinds ctrl to +duck..
If you do something similar, you can use "speak "command"" and "speak "soldier"" (remove the outer ") to let you know which you are in - as echos don't work

heh, binds gone wild!

ive got voicerecord on mouse3 for when im running, and on q for when im firing, and on g for when im in the comm chair. its kinda nice having options. maybe i talk too much. omg postcount++

I use middlemouse button for voicecomm. That might work for you.

Anything above mouse3 is bugged as far as voicecomm goes.

I.E. you can't talk while spectating (Dead, anyone?) Comming, or in a general state that is not NS-like, unless you hold it down while changing to that mode.

I'd comm SO much more when/if Flayra fixes this, but it's low on the priority (Obviously), so <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'> At least he knows about it.

I am not entirely sure it is possible to block alt-tab without some hassle. You can disable it as a programmer, but I have yet to locate a global "tweak" that disables the key.

Well, if you accidently press Alt + Tab, hold them pressed. Then release the Tab button and keeping holden the Alt. Then hit Alt + Esc and it'll be closed.

iv pretty much gottan perfictly used to morgans controls, if i use anything else, im just gonna die, gusse ill have to use HIS keys after x-mas and not my old old ones i ditched long ago

if you use the arrow keys, use KP_0 as voice, and in other single player games use it as meele attack (COD has that right?)

better stop now befor i tell my entire control setup

Use HLWin, you start it up before u play, its a small app that lets u minimize the game without any sound problems or anything. It wont fix ur bind but atleast if you mininize, you can get back in the game without problems.

Yes. It does.
I'm using steam, my fps drops from 40 to 10 when I alt tab, and theres no way to fix it. Except to restart HL. Which means I will inevitably be transferred to the alien side, which means my defeat, becuase I usually end up hitting alt tab right before we start killing their hives <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'>
