<div class="IPBDescription">use sof!!</div> im not sure if ppl know this or not... ive never seen anyone talk about it so here goes.
i xeno best if i get sof (if you have 3 hives, you'll have sensory in case you didn't think of that one). it helps a lot to see when the marines are clusters and when they're just about to come around the corner. this is pretty much an endgame fun trick when rines are dug in. if they have ha this doesnt work nearly as well. but you can rack up some impressive xeno kills on those desperate vanilla rines.

I disagree with it but thats just my opinion. I dont really thing you need SoF to know when to xeno them. :/ just opinion though.
Fade: acid-rocket anything you see that is highlighted with a red circle
Skulk: Go for the largest concentrations of red circles and xenocide
Gorge: hmm...not very useful as gorgies are not suited for combat, but still useful anyway
Lerk: useful for gassing and targeting with lerk spikes
Onos: have a good idea of where to direct the stomp spam, so as to stun as many marines as possible
hell i use it so i know when to run

DOOBIE IS A MARINE! XENO HIM!
*Explodes*
Yes, but if the alien circle stops moving then you know where they are anyway.
The fun thing was, it was up high, op the ladders, and there were like 12 ppl there (Surftown, 30 players on some servers) and I just leaped up into the air, twice, missing them CLEARLY on my first leap, the marines were shooting the Ground, I assume they couldnt see me properly due to a nearby SC or something, but anyway they didnt hit me
My clanmate had picked up the action, and (as lerk) was gassing the crowd
I had adrenaline, not celerity, so I could leap some
I ended with falling down in a marine cluster, next the the CC being built.....and I chose to go boom
I killed 5 marines (w00t <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> ) and 5 marines died too, but not from my blast, but cause they fell down and died hitting the ground <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
I think 20 ppl said lol within the next 10 seconds......
SoF owns.......as gorge I have it....like Ballisto I use it to know when to run <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
Ignore me.
That's ns_Bast.
I just wish you got RFK if your xeno knocked guys to their doom though...

No, motion tracking only shows aliens who are running. An alien can easily cloak and walk around, then sneak up on <u>YOU</u> when you attempt to go check where you think they might be.
Anway on the main topic; Scent of Fear owns cloaking most of the time, especially when the marines don't have MT. For instance; let say you're a fade cloaked in a corner and 4 marines come around it weilding hmgs and yes, you know somthings coming. Well good luck, because chances are you'll attack the first one that you see, unaware of the other 2 behind him (this is how most aliens find their deaths). Now lets say you have Scent of Fear and you know all three are coming. Then, you'd probably wait for them to pass untill their eyes are shut, then pick off the guy in the back. Something like; it's better to be aware than to be hidden and to not be aware.
Well thats just my opinion, and its obviously not well thought out, but out of experience I believe in Scent of Fear most of the time and mabye a bit of cloaking during earlier times in the game.
My best xenocide experience so far was when I just jumped in hoping the best. After the explosion, since the top right corner was full, I had to pop up my console to count that I just blasted 8 vanilla rines to hell.
The main problem with cloaking is that it can be redundant if there are sc's everywhere (which there should be if your gorges are doing their jobs).
I find that as a skulk it pwns. Its soooooo funny to be cloaked in a room and chuckle. Scares the crap out of marines. They shoot everywhere and still can't find you, and then you go and pwn them.
Xenoing heavies is great fun too!!!! Try to sneak up behind them and explode on the guys welding - they're the hurt ones, pick em off!!!
ive been caught in xeno splash dmg, but never killed. if they have xeno, i usually will have ha + hmg and they wont get too close.
but for cloaking with sof as a fade, lol just stand in the middle of a hallway and let a marine walk into you, they think they're lagging, show em they arent!
It's fun to cloakwalk behind a group of marines and then xeno.
It's even more fun to be cloaked in a room and chuckle. Freaks the crap out of them.
although, if someoen is stupid enough to build sensory on the 2nd hive, ill sneak in the marine base and try to find a good place where noone wil lookk and cloak, hoping noone will notie me, and when we get our thrid hive up, wait for a load of marines to be crowded around the armoury or smething, and while being silient, xeno them all

Onos is better all of a sudden they his you and they are like "WTH???" then *CHOMP*! Its fun especialy with scilence.
Silence/Cloaking is also very valuble..of course this is only in CO maps...you can usually cloak into their base and hide in a corner and wait until you see the perfect clump of people, xeno, and leap and kaboom.
In combat if I want to be a Xeno'cider, I'll get all ability upgrades immediately. Later, I'll get Cara (to last longer agianst guns).
The Strategy
************************
Since you got all abilities, that means you have leap. What I do is I estimate where the more concentrated marines are. Then just when I'm about to reach there, I press and activate Xeno. When the Xeno count down is ticking, I leap into the bunch of sucka marines. Very quickly, I change my weapon to bite in which it will weaken and deal them damage. Try to bite each marine at least once as it increases the number of kills you'll get. Ultimately when my Xeno kicks in becuase I've weaken some marines, my Xeno will always get kills.
There you go. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> Here's my ultimate guide in Xenociding. Happy Self-Destructing!!! <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif' /><!--endemo-->
</gloating>
I'm pretty sure xeno does more damage in 3.0 with the new armor system and stuff. A GREAT target is a clump of marines in spores - you can get tons of kills this way!
When they're inside of their base, they uncloak you with the obs so: sof - celerity(run)/adren(leap) (-cara if ya got the res)
Well, at least that's my opinion <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
