How Are Hand Grenades Different?

<div class="IPBDescription">From grenade launcher ones?</div> A friend of mine brought this up so I'm wondering how differnt are they? I mean I've worked this much out:
- You throw a hand one, and you shoot a grenade launcher one.
- You only have 1 grenade per life and in normal NS it's an upgrade to get them
- You spawn with it if it's researched
- Doesn't override your primary, secondary, or third weapon slots (i believe)
So other than that how is it different?

The NS 3.0b grenades had really bad physics, they bounced around like those 99 cent super bouncy balls. Tossed one down a hall and it flew back at me and killed me....

I feel sorry for you, how can the TSA be expected to kill aliens with low quality prototypes? Only time will tell how the grenade will develop to a powerful weapon.
It would make sense to be agains structures, because with the 4 sec delay it would be hella hard to get a skulk, lerk or fade with it.
Hate to say it, but you wasted your time coming up with that. Currently, nades do not have priming like in TFC. Hopefully that will be changed...

I just figured it would be like cs where you can't take out the pin.... I haven't played the new version, so I don't know.

Personally I think the grenades will be tested with for a while and then someone will realize that they have to have <i>some</i> sort of purpose, and then it will be given one. Till then it will just be some kind of random weapon:
