<div class="IPBDescription">Help a friend</div> Hi, This is only one of two communities, really, other than my friends around university...and they are in a spot and a half when it comes to what I'm about to ask.
Basically, I have a friend that is trying to break into the market of photography, she's amazingly good at what she does, I feel...take a look at her stuff if you like...<a href='http://members.lycos.co.uk/pbgallery/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=2&thumb=1' target='_blank'>Her Stuff</a>
A month ago or so, she got her camera stolen, it's about £200 ($300) worth of equipment that has gone, that now puts her in catch 22...she needs the camera to work, but she needs the work to get the camera. You can see the situation.
Cut a long story short, I'm trying to do her a favour for being a good friend, I can front some of the cash, but I can't do it all...so I'm wishing upon the kindness of the two large communities I'm in to come up with the money. I know this sounds REALLY sleazy, it sounds perhaps like a con...but if you don't believe me 100%, then just don't donate some money...I'll understand, I probably wouldn't even give anything if I saw this post myself! But if there are any of you out there that have looked at her work, like what you see, believe what I'm telling you (I'm a constellation member in the UK, so you've no doubt seen me around here and there, add me on steam with the email below if you like), and can afford to just give like £5-£10 ($10-$15) then please help a girl out.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, if you have ANY questions then just drop me a PM or an email at la_grief@hotmail.com. I hope you can help, as it really would only take a generous dozen or so people to actually help my friend back on to her feet again.
Just to re-itterate, if any of you don't believe this, then don't sully this thread by posting about what crap it is or whatever, just pass it by...I really don't care, you don't have to donate anything at all, it'd just be a nice show of how good human nature can be.
If you can and do want to help, then please pay <a href='https://www.paypal.com/xclick/business=la_grief%40hotmail.com&item_name=Help+Out+Jessica%21&item_number=1337&no_note=1&tax=0¤cy_code=GBP&lc=GB' target='_blank'>la_grief@hotmail.com</a> through paypal, honestly anything you can give would be amazing, and you will be remembered...I just hope that I can do enough to make that rememberance count to help you in return one day.
Edit: Ok, sorted out a one click system, I think!

maybe a paypal account people can donate to...
just tossing out some ideas. I think people would be willing to donate a buck or a few bucks if all they had to do was click on a link...

About the donation, it sounds iffy.
Thanks for the feedback though, I'll make sure that she gets the (good) feedback you guys are giving <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

As it is, this has happened perhaps 5 years to early for me to do such a thing. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

Anyway, I have to go bed, got to go into Uni to do some extra work tomorrow, should have gone hours ago really <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> Thanks honestly, and I wouldn't exactly call a large number of you strangers either, more distant aquaintances. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Nikon F2 <--- considered one of the best mechanical SLR cameras ever made. Extremely flexible and durable as a tank.
Got some Leicas hanging around.
A 600 dollar flash unit and etc.
i'd buy the goddamned thing if i wasn't broke =\
well actually.. maybe i can spare a little. i'll see, okay? i've got a pp account and everything, so i'll dig thru the pockets..
Nah.
I'd love to donate if I could, but I dont even have a job anymore. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
My family bought a Nikon F2 for a polish friend of ours as a wedding gift. Expensive little thing too!
I'd mainly be pressuring the people that are really comfortable and can afford to go to mcdonalds every day twice a day to give $10 or so, personally <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
I have got to say again, between the two communities, I've gotten an amazingly good responce, better than I expected...so thanks again.
