help mehhhh!
oh what, these little smiley are cool and - NO THIS IS NOT THE TIME.

i have a small problem. It seems that when i walk as any alien / marine i walk really really slow. i dunno if any of u play cs (sorry ) but its similar to walking when ur crouching. Now i'm pretty sure this isnt right, as i remember having the same problem when 2.0 first came out, and i was told a way to fix it, its some bloody command about auto duck / auto jump...... i really cant remember soz, if anybody has ne idea into why this is happening or the command that will stop this, it would be much appreciated, i feel like a bit of a muppet travelling around at 0.5 mph!!

try typing -crouch in console. Also, are you using any scripts for NS? If not, try rebinding yer keys. The commands on the keys might have gotten mixed up or som'n.

Default walking speed is slower than default crouch move. No clue why, really.

Its possible that you have forward walk set as forward move.

I have had this problem since 2.0 came out also...it's really annoying, but I thought it was "normal" My walk is excruciatingly slow, slower than crouch

will cl_forwardspeed really fix it? (why would that even work? couldn't I just set forwardspeed 500000 or something?)

You could set it at that sure, but it would still only let you go as fast as your maximum speed. cl_forwardspeed is just a client limit, if the server says you can go 800 and your cl_forwardspeed is set to 400, you would only go half of what you are capable of. However, if the server says you can go 400 and you set cl_forwardspeed to 800, you would still only go 400.

    In your config, set

    cl_forwardspeed "1000"
    cl_sidespeed "1000"
    cl_backspeed "1000"

Your walk will be so fast that if you turn too fast while walking you will make noises.

Im sure that'll work but maybe you might prefer the other way people do it eg: holding "use" key usually "e" and walking works just the same.
