Anyways, I didn't download the map since I don't really have the time (going to work overnight then home for the holidays) But one thing I noticed from the pics is that you have some odd scaling. Specifically <a href='http://src.psix.info/?id=1000327&x=500' target='_blank'>this pic</a> with a semi-regular scale for the main hallway wall but a very large scale difference in that floor_mettile texturing. Might want to look into replacing that with a smaller-scaled version of the texture/entirely new texture as it comes off looking odd. Hiveroom looks good, you might want to break one of those monitors... even having one off will add something to it by breaking up the symmetry. Other than that some good effort, hope it plays as well as it looks. With some helpful suggestions from your clan/other mappers this could come out as a good map for final release.
yep, i already did alot of playtesting, and it really plays well! ok, indeed some players complained about the darkness, but otherwise... <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
so thanks for your suggestions and i'm sure i will apply them.
Architecture looks good, though, so I'll download it and walk around with my flashlight and see what I think.
i apologize for the release of the unfinished 016 version, but my clanmembers wanted to see the current conditions of ns_psix
The rule of thumb I use is, if you can't tell your weapon apart from the background easily in a screenshot, it's too dark in that area.
This is truly excellent, for a clan map. Brighten up some areas and add a little more detail and ambiance, and I think this could go official. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> I haven't played it, of course. I'm just talking about, from an asthetic point of view.
So yeah... plant a few strategic spotlights or computer screens in the dark areas, and it'll look awesome.
your right, my final aim is to have been working on an offical map for about 6 months <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
but first im just completing the basic layout and lightning. though the marinestart will be the next victim of my vhe usage <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
as soon as i will be able to use the particle system correctly, i will also add some atmosphere and of course alot of details will be there in a future version such as 020 <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

I agree with warp there add a few lit up consoles to add atmosphere.
