Sven Co-op uses the latest fmod.dll for its MP3 player. Natural Selection v2.0 uses the older fmod.dll for its MP3 player. So when you install SC3.0, an fmod.dll is installed that's incompatible with NS2.0, and vice versa.
The ironic thing is, the only reason we actually upgraded to the new fmod.dll was to /prevent/ compatibility problems with Natural Selection. (NS3.0 uses the new fmod.dll). I didn't think about 2.0 using an older dll.
Pity the fmod guys couldn't have kept the dll backwards-compatible :/. Well, anyway, the only thing you can do until NS3.0 is released is to keep a copy of both fmod.dll versions. Copy the old one to Half-Life\ to be able to play NS, or the new one to be able to play SC. Sort of arkward, but there's no way we could have avoided this... with NS2.0 and 3.0 using different fmod versions, SC3.0 had to be incompatible with one of them.

Has to do with the new version of HL, and the new fmod.dll
EDIT : Gah, I was about to post in the SC forums until I noticed that Sven Viking came here and posted <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
That game is INSANE. It's like somebody dropped a huge pile of acid before they played Half-Life.
That isn't to say it's not fun. It certainly is. It's just also extremely crazy. I spent most of the time confused. This is usually a bad thing, but somehow it didn't bother me with this mod. Especially once the server switched to toonrun.
God that was nuts.
Not your fault. It was full, and something went wrong on my end, so I had to go somewhere else.
Anyway, sombody's PMed with something that might help fix the problem without reinstalling NS. I'm going to try it to make sure it works, and if so, I'll ask permission to post it here or on my webspace, so as not to suck up the origin's bandwidth.
Rename your fmod.dll that you use to play NS2.0 to something you can remember(eg. fmodNS.dll) and then use the new fmod.dll to play SC. When you're done, name the new fmod.dll to something like fmodSC.dll and then rename your fmodNS.dll to fmod.dll. Hope it isn't too confusing.
