Net_sendpacket Error:no Error

<div class="IPBDescription">Windows XP error</div> I have an Internetconnection which sometimes just doesn't deconnects and then reconnects. If I just surf on the Internet, I don't even notice it. But if I'm logged in at msn messenger, messenger loggs out. that isn't really a big deal (except I'm transferring a file :S), but here's the real problem:
I have installed windows xp. Since I have XP everytime when this happens, windows minimize ns and there is an
error warning: NET_SendPacket ERROR:NO ERROR

Ns(or hl) isn't on the taskbar, but if I push ctrl + alt + del, I can see that ns is running.

PLEASE someone help me!! (I haven't played ns seariously for over a week now!! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->)

    i get that too... but if i ctrl_alt_del i can see that ns is not responding.. bleh. just get the ASE and your worries are over, since all you gotta do is reconnect to the server. (that is, if your ns/hl whatever crashes.) oh yeah and why the heck does your connection do that? wlan?

    I've had this problem in the past. Windows XP likes to install a lot of things by default that are not good for NS. Go to your network connection settings, and click the 'general tab'. You should uninstall any components called QoS or IPX. The first slows performance down for NS (I think) and the second one causes some incompatibility problems. No one needs IPX unless they are playing really old games, and NS doesn't like it. Try starting ns with the -noipx parameter if you don't like uninstalling things some guy on the net said to. ^_^

    It will fix it.
