Games that make you jump

And need new underwear after!
Are there any games you've played where you have jumped so much your butt moved of the surface you were sitting from?
Mine would have to be Resident Evil for GC, I ran past a window and even when I knew that a zombie was gonna smash through it I still jumped, (the atmosphere is very good! My friend jumped real high when a dog came on from off screen and started mauling his arm!)

The other game that managed to really scare me is NS.
It's just mind numbing if you see four of those blue motiontracking icons close in to your position from all sides and you slowly realize that a) there's nowhere to run, b) you're out of ammo, and c) you're alone.

I actually had difficulty playing that game for more than half an hour at a time (because my hands were shaking).
<shrugs>
Despite this I couldn't stop playing it...
NS. Damn you Flayraskulk!
Other *excellent* headcrab use appears in such SP mods as USS Darkstar (weak storyline with a COP OUT ending, but headcrab use is perfection).
NS, for Skulk ambushes.
Silent Hill - not so much jump, as not want to sleep with the lights off EVER AGAIN.
Morrowind actually gets me pretty edgy, too... mostly because I'm a level 3 Acrobat with virtually no combat skills (I also choose not to wear armor). I avoid combat as much as possible, and walking through the wilderness is very unsettling.
/me thinks he'll have to get that.
Half-Life scared me poopless the first time I played
AvP2 scares the crap out of me in the marines missions
I jump all the time playing counter-strike, just because someone will suprise me... not really "scary" though
Eternal Darkness... the first time I heard the "sanity effect" where it sounds like someone's pounding on a door VERY LOUDLY.... man, I jumped so high out of my seat.
edit: oh yeah, and resident evil for GC too! the first time I was outside of the house, I heard some bushes rustle and thought it was just an environmental sound... then some undead dog came out of nowhere and started attacking me, freaked me out pretty good.
Just playing the demo creeped the shnizzle outta me. I never bought the game because i knew i'd never finish it because of the flatlining moments.
ClockTower, I dunno. I found the game to be pretty tense, and quite scary when Scissor man hops out from behind something and al of a sudden your cursor is flashing red. o.0
They hunger, I remember one point in the game where I stopped playing it because I was too scared to go on. That giant bullsquid is freaky too. o.0 And those lumbering Frankenstine things! Gah! I scare myself! >.<
System Shock 2... now THERE was a cool game. Especially in Multi-player mode... *In weird electronic voice* We won't hurt you so badly. @_@
Submit to the Biomass, and your suffering will end.
That's aboot it methinks. My first time through Half-life and op Force was pretty "AAAAGH!" as well. ^^
A fast paced action game scared you?!?!?!
Half-Life and the happy headcrabs
Thief I & II
1. Half Life
2. Dark Forces
3. Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight
4. Counter-strike
5. Sim Tower (SHUT UP AND STOP LAUGHING)
6. Uh, lemme think a sec...
7. Oh yah!
8. Rebel Assault II
9. Duke Nukem 3d
10. Alone in the Dark
11. USS Darkstar
12. Todesangst
13. Poke646 (get this, I haven't played it, but I won't, because it looks scary to me)
14. Beetles songs that say things when you play 'em backwards.
15. Fam
16. Fam scared me twice, in fact.
I agree and its really a shame that the chances of there being another Undying game are about the same as me waking up one morning to find Milla Jovovich in my bed.
Which leads me nicely on to Resident Evil ... I can't believe anyone ever found these games scary in the slightest, I mean zombies, frightening? I think not. Resident Evil games are always so predictable the only time I get scared is when something I didn't anticapte happens.
And thats happened once in the four Resident Evil games I've played.
System Shock 2 on the other hand ... those robot midwives
*shudders*
But ROBOTS, let's not even go there.
[insert eye rolling emoticon here]
P.s. waking up next to Milla Jovovich, now that WOULD be scary.
*shudder*
anyways, games that have freaked me out:
-Halflife (you all know and love 'em, Headcrabs!,
- Doom (those parts where you know that there's guys somewhere near you, but it's such an old game and the sound's so terrible you can't tell where they are),
- AvP1 (god damn wall-crawlers...),
- Freespace 2 (when you're on the special ops mission and you go in to destroy the comm nodes, but there's a shivan Sathanas dreadnought right in fron of you when you warp in)
- Heavy Metal FAKK2 (lord tyler scares the crap out of me...)
oh, and how can i forget:
- X-com UFO Enemy Unknown (frigging night missions, doesn't matter who you're fighting, they got the atmosphere perfectly on that one...)
hmm... that's about it i guess...
Half-Life
AvP2 Marine Campaign
Max Payne (The V-trips)
I have got to play Doom III, that movie scared the begeesus outta me.
--Scythe--
To enter the compound on the first level, it took me 10 mins to get enough courage , when the ceiling blowed away and blocked the way i was like.... Jeez why me?!?!?!
Then, when you enter the hangar thingie, i was with night vision comin back from powerin up the facility when a pipe broke and completely blinded me, and i just shoot all the clip away and screamed like a girl hahahaha that was the most scariest thing that ever happened to me.... everythin was so quiet, and then bam sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee and everything was white, and i was screaming and shooting hahaha . I wish i had videotaped that....
Thos fckin headcrabs are really scary when u play hl for the first time..... Now i get the crowbar and i just play with the poor little fellas.....
Sure, if you like girls with absolutely no shape, no body, paper thin and hooked noses. They just don't make girls like they used too. But then we're living in a time when girls have actually started pro-anorexia communities. Anyways, I'm getting totally off topic so I'll stop.
Now.
*shrug* I guess we all have our tastes, I just don't dig the heroin look.
"did i just hear a monkey?"
"where the hell is that sound coming from?"
"they're all around me!"
"AIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
another game that gave me alot of jumps would be silent hill. walking through that school and hospital all alone in the dark in the early hours of the morning...i was just asking for trouble.
The original AvP made me jump quite a few times in the Marine missions. It was the facehuggers to blame for that. That little skittering noise just set me on edge.
Some may laugh at this, but Doom had me looking behind me when I first played it. And there was this one encounter with a Baron of Hell that almost sent me through the roof. You just don't expect that kind of thing when you open a door.
