since duke 3D came out <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> ... then I went on with unreal then half-life... and now I'm mapping for the lithtech engine, too
Like many others I started with Duke Nukem 3D. I found the program called build in the tools directory on the Duke Nukem 3D. I had no idea what it was, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I got real hooked with all the Sector Effectors etc. (brings back memory's) but never created a serious map. I started mapping for Half-Life when WorldCraft 2.1 was the newest version. I don't quite remember when that was, but I do know that I learned the basics by doing the tutorials that were included in WorldCraft 2.1, wich were removed (I think) in later versions.
