ok this may have been posted several thousand times but bear with me.
ok heres what i found (and its nothing new so don't be bummed out)
1.) hide in some corner where you can look down and see oncoming "rines" (marines for short)
2.) make sure you don't jump around at all because the rines will hear your footsteps and that will blow your cover
3.) when your in jump biting range go for it.
4.) remember to always aim for the noggin
5.) and i'm not responsible for any screw ups you do. If you screw up its your fault. =

Comments
1) Yes, ambushes are always good.
2) I am pretty sure jumping will just amplify the sound you make when moving. Marines will be able to hear you whether you are jumping or not; Unless of course, you are walking.
3) I am not sure exactly what you mean by this, but I figure you are trying to say always jump when you bite? This can actually be a benefit to some marines, since jumping makes you level with the "standard" marine aim.
4) I don't think there is any difference between where you aim, in terms of damage that is. But if aiming for head makes hiting the hitboxes easier, by all means do it.
It doesn't. Aim for the ankle.
random helpful tips:
-leap PAST marines and bite them in the back.
-when you do attack, jump around like a madman and strafe (dont miss all your shots)
-and DONT bitespam. aim each bite. it only takes two.
Use common sense.
Wow that was a quick read.
1) stand in the middle, if possible in the middle of some low water to
2) make nasty sounds. They might alert your enemy of your presence, but make them scraed. Psychological warfare.
3) When you're close to a marine, run away: they might kill you
4) Forget aiming, it's useless
5) it's my fault if you die
stating the obvious
1) as soon as you spawn, make sure you tell the marines where your hive is
2) if you're an onos, try to just scare enemies away from a distance
3) take at least 5 seconds to aim your bite about 10 feet behind the marine, for a good clear miss
4) you can try to eat grenades and see what happens, it may be like a cartoon and smoke will just come out of your ears
5) the laser mines aren't mines, they are metal detectors, since you're organic, you can pass through it, right?
Also, when a marine runs by you, don't attack the minute you see him. I wait a few seconds after his footsteps start to fade out (audible ranges are really short in half-life), and listen for others, I'll wait until the whole group runs by, and then calmly walk up behind them, when they're concentrating on a WOL+gorges or a skulkwave from the front...

...you'd be surprised what you can do and remain unnoticed. I've walked right up to their ankles and have gotten multiple kills before I had to let go of the walk key, because they're clustered together and not watching their six. If they spot you prematurely, just start parasiting and escape. I often keep parasite out until I'm in biting range.
Can't remember the map name, but it's the one with Cargo, Via, and Powersilo. Anyways, one of THE BEST places to hide near marine base is in the docking bay next to Miasma. You go under the catwalk and cling right up against the side close to marine start. Unless they have MT and you aren't careful...they will NEVER notice you there. Whole squads run by on their way to cargo...walk out, creep up behind, kill the whole squad....repeat and put up hive 2 from rfk or and become the ultimate stalker. Same principal applies...find a spot to conceal yourself, let them run by, use blink to catch up but don't overshoot yourself...get right up behind the last guy and have at them! Silence works great for this as swiping uses little energy and blink recharges fast, and without silence makes craploads of noise.
Use common sense.

you are my hero
I forget what place, vbut one map, there was a vent leadin into the marine base, and its not eh place with the blue towers. I hid in a nothch at the top of the roof, noone ever looks up, just chuckle
and chuckle until yo hear someone, then stop, it sends about 5 or 6 your way, once they leavea fter looking around, shooting the vent wheihc you came through but arnt in anymore, fall down and snag the last one, and hide again, if your fast enough, you can do this over and over, noone knows where you are, noone finds you, but u stillg et lots of kills. Being patient while ambushing is a great tactic, but renember, when hiding, the point of turuiiong is your feet, so evne if you think you are hidden, make extra sure your head isnt sticking out, i know they are fixinghtis in 3.0, but as of now, make extra sure
This is so true. So many times have people killed skulks, "hiding" above a door. They think they are hidden, till they die.
Actually, many people have posted before about killing a marine in one bite on the head the moment the marine spawns, when they can't be damaged before that. My guess was, and still is, that there are multiple sections of the hitbox, and that the bite registers on two different sections, killing the marine. That was several months ago that the thread was up, but quite a few people wrote about getting one-bite kills.
and where are the locations of known HB?
