    A lot of audigy sound cards get this problem. It's a driver issue. It happened to a mate of mine and he downloaded something that fixed it. Try googling your problem and make sure you mention your sound card make.

    as you can see in my post. "usb mic problems". i have simmilar problems. and I just found out something. i reinstalled halflife. one of the older versions. so not 1.1.1.0, and it worked just fine... no problems at all. but when i installed 1.1.1.0 it went wrong.so the problem lies in the update. i dont kno if it is the same, because you have your headphone, and mic, in your soundcardplugs, but you work with usb aswell. try everything that is in my post. maybe it'll work. if not prlease say so, im still trying to get the problem out. btw what are the specifications of the headset

    Do you have msn?

    I've had this problem for a long time so I'm suspecting it's a not open port problem... I'm going to look into that later.

    Also what built in sound card do you have on your headset.

    I'm using audigy built in i think <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
