So I'm asking when you personally expect the DONE version (which is DONE, save for some horrendous bugs discovered in tonight PT) well be released.
I'm thinking the Linux DS files will go up tonight/tommorow morning and the client release will be late friday or saturday. In the words of MonsE, "At this point, speculation is unavoidable."

I think the server files shal go out on Oct. 9th 2002. And I think the client files shal go out on Oct. 11th 2002.

Even once the code is "perfect," playtesters will need to take time to really try and kick the #### out of it - make sure it's as good as it looks.

All we have is our mouths to take them out and tste it periodically to see if it's done. If you all think it should be released tomorrow, you would enjoy the cupcake, until you bit the cherry on top, and was hospoitalized for a servere case of the flu. This puts a bad first image on the bakers (dev team) and no one wants their cupcakes anymore...
But, if they make sure the cherry is good, they can release a tasty cupcake, which still has tons of room for additions with future updates. guys, alot of yalls seem to be forgetting that the Dev team wants this out even more then we do (and don't make some wise ### remark that there is no way they could want it more then you)
Flay has spent (I believe) about the last year and 1/2 on this (that is basicaly all he did for that time)
when he has created what he wants then it will be released, you don't sit around pestering the sculpter to let you see his work of art before he is done, or else you end up with a putty knife through the eye (I am sorry I just had to put that in, to tempting, not sure why)
oh well, not only do you agravate the ppl who have been spending a good chunk of their lives on this, you agravate the rest of us who are just as anticipatory as you, however we hold it in.

Flay can't exist. Or he'd have been driven mad by now from people bugging him to release NS. No human could tolerate that. He must be a supercomputer (read: an old 486) that someone gave an AI to and was told to get a large crowd interested in a RTFPS strategy genre, whenceupon the "release" will be a link to a new AvP3 Order by Web page! And we'll all spend our 59.99$ US and go buy it. Because we were made to want to.

Realistically speaking, this mod was supposed to be "almost out", "so close to being done", "on the verge of completion" for a month or so now. So it's not going to be out until at least Christmas. Thats what I'm guessing.
