I have to say i would think they just put it to the speaker and hit play and let the tunes go. I can tell because of the bad quality from the speaker to the mic. you get "ssss", "gggg" stuff.

there are 3rd-party software tricks that do it. However, you could just stick it to the mic and do it, you'd have to be sad and bored, though.

If you do this, however,
DIE

By the way, most people hate music spammers. It wasn't funny the first time, it still isn't funny.

You would get huge feedback if you did that.
Most people use an external program.

There is a .wav file that you put in a certian folder and a command. It's not done through the mic, and the quality has nothing to do with the MIC, it's just the rate and quality Voice Comm is in HL at the moment.

I'm not sure of this, but do a search and it will come up on this forum. It was posted before, and answered. I'll do a search and update this if no one else does after I eat.

On top of that, most of the people who do this, only play music in non-serious enviornments. Like Svencoop or something. Nobody cares in svencoop, most like the distraction from playing the same maps over and over. I've seen it done in a Deathmatch round of The Specialists. It had a great response. If the atmosphere is good, then you should be fine. But don't take this stuff anywhere NS, with the stressed out people playing, I can just imagine them eating you alive.

Eh, I dunno...there's a guy on a server that I play on fairly regularly who does this sometimes (mostly in the ready room) and its pretty funny, I guess.

Its funny to hear "Everybody Dance Now" when you're charging into the hive :>

Don't bother with it, it's a pain in the **** and pisses a lot of people off

You have to get a cfg and a wav file that you want. From there, you execute the script, then you have to hit a certain button to make the music start/stop. I did it in CS with a small clip from South Park. I would agree, however, that NS is NOT the kind of game where people want to listen to that. The Specialists or other less sound/concentration-intensive mods would better suit your needs.

Like I said, only in the wrong atmosphere. If you are playing a lower stress mod without "By the book" PUB nazi's, then you will probably be openly recieved. For instance, in a regular game of TFC you would get muted, in a concjump training map in TFC, you would get laughter as a response.

Just like this forum is not the kind of atmosphere to recieve stuff like this because to many people it can be misconstrued as annoying. If you were to post this in the New Player Forum or some other lower stress area, then you would probably get a different response, as least a little different.

Do NOT post methods to voicecomm spam, including program names. It's annoying. I've gone through and deleted all mention of that program on purpose, OneSneakyMouse, and I'll thank you *NOT* to list it again.
