If you cannot pay via PayPal, simply send the beer fund money... I mean the donation to the address given.
<i>If it makes it any easier:
Sie können nicht zahlen, ein Veteran zu werden, aber Sie können ein Konstellationmitglied für $20 USD (ungefähr €21) werden. Wenn Sie nicht über PayPal zahlen können, senden Sie einfach das bier Geld... Ich bedeute die Abgabe zur gegebenen Adresse. Sie erhalten Zugang zu vor-freigeben Versionen des Spiels und der speziellen Ikone nahe bei Ihrem Namen im Spiel.</i>
<i>I'm too kind:
Eine andere Anmerkung... Flayra nimmt jede mögliche Währung an, aber selbstverständlich bevorzugt er Dollar. Sie können Euros gegen Dollar an jedem möglichem Spielraumaustausch und an ziemlich vielen grossen europäischen Bänken austauschen.</i>
Second: Although it is really nice of you to webtranslate it, let me translate this <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> It did foul up a bit more than just the "you".
Third: You can exchange for Dollars at almost any Bank in Europe, not just the big ones...
Shiriki
Know a little Dutch and a little German so it's not all bad.
The bank will money to make € to $
Then the cost for the letter, it must around the world...
And then i send 20€ or 16 $ ... and Flayra say´s that are not enougth, and then i have Pay 20-30 euro for nothing ? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
It's just that it's obvious that Bernd doesn't speak English very well and I wanted to make certain it was clear what you meant. Again it really wasn't meant to offend you and I'm truly sorry that I did! I just tried to be nice as well.
On topic: Couldn't he transfer the money directly from his parents to Flayras bank account? Honestly i don't understand all that paypal-stuff (we seldom use anything like that in Europe and I certainly never have) so I don't know what its advantages are...
@Bernd: Das die Bank Geld f?rs wechseln verlangt is normal. Ausserdem was sind schon 20 Euro?

!!
That would be terrible!
A language is far more than its words; it governs your personality and, to some degree, your outlook on life. -Would there be racists if the word 'racist' was never introduced to them as a child? If a group of people were kept isolated from news of the KKK etc., would they develop racist outlooks?
Besides, there are many things that other languages do better than English. My German is far from fluent, but I still find that some things are far easier to say in German than in my native tongue. The easiest of these to illustrate is "Vormorgen" which is the one word equivilent of "the day after tomorrow".
However, "morgen" also means "morning", so "tomorrow morning" is "Morgen fr☼h."
Besides, Chinese is the most used language; English is only the most widely spoken. (Only if you include American English with it though.)
Anyone read 1984? "Newspeak?" <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

<b><span style='color:green'>Although it is true that a language is based upon the experiences of the people who use it</b>, for instance the Inuit People (a.k.a. "Eskimos" Though that is a derogatory term as I understand it) having somewhere around a 100 words for 'snow' and other instances of multiple words for one object and/or situation or variations thereof, the truth is, if an experience is to occur such as an experience which could be deemed <i>racist</i> then a name must be created to depict that experience. We need the word "reap" to describe the situation of a farmer "reaping" corn, or some other agricultural product. As it is obvious that racism will always exist, as long as the mind of the individual is determined at least in part by the situations in which they are raised, <b>there will always be a need for a word to describe an experience that could be refered to as "racist". The word itself plays a <u>very minor role</u> in whether the situation is to exist.</span></b>
<b><span style='color:blue'>As far as the utilitarian needs of a language, English is probably one of the <i>clumsier</i> languages in existence today. </b> English originated in yes, you guessed it, England from some substrate of Celtic (as I understand it), then it was butchered and reverbed by Latin, when the Romans gained control, later heavy germanic influence seeped in from the early Norman-French conquering of William's. After it's travel to the United States slang deviants and dialects where formed in different areas of the United States by different cultures intermingling with an overall American / Former British dominance. Now all those different dialects, most more subtle in variation with the greater differences in inflection, are merging back together through easy communication offered by the telephone and the internet, etc. <b>So yeah, basically, this is not an efficient language, and it will continue to get worse most likely...</span></b>
No I didn't read it, but I'm mildly interested now.
Ahem. *Clears throat*.
Firstly, minor correction. "Reap"? I think you may have this confused with 'Rape'. They are entirely different words. "Reap" can <i>only </i> mean the collection of harvest.

Ah, but would such experiences ever arrive if the word Racist was not there to suggest to us the possibility of performing such acts?
That sentence really needs some wavy green underelineing...

Well, I think I agree with you entirely there. One minor point, Romans NEVER conquered England. You may want to add that there were Scandinavian inputs too, although they may have been considered Celts too. I can't remember. Gaelic at least. Keen, hooligan, etc. Great sounding words from Gaelic.

1984 is George Orwell's distopian masterpiece. Over time the political leaders have formed 3 major territories on Earth; Eurasia, Eastasia and Oceania I think. These are constantly (and supposedly,) allying/declaring war upon each other. This acts to keep the public in the mindset that they are alwyas at War, giving the governmen excuses to cut rations, etc.
The people are supressed in many ways like this, but I shall not go on further so as not to spoil the book.
We digress. My point was the language they use; Newspeak. (New-speak not News-peak.) The government employs hundreds of people to slowly rid 'Oldspeak' of superfluous words. Consequently the language becomes dull and expressionless. ("Bad" becomes "no good", "terrible/awful/tragic" becomes "nogoodplus")
If our languges were to unite, words from other cultures would have to be transported over to our own language. This would vreate an excessively large and expensive dictionary that no-one could afford, so the economy would go bust and we would return to the darkages. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Or maybe we would just have to compromise on words; but who chooses which words stay and which are amalgamated into one?
Sigh. Remember, never use a big word when a dimmuntive one will do.

I dont mean to offend anyone. It just appears to me that English is becoming increasingly more prominent and the idea of being able to go anywhere in the world and speak a commen language is AWESOME. I have nothing against other languages and have studied German for almost 2 years and Spanish for about 5 (cant remember much Spanish, was a long time ago). I think that we have to agree that, to some extent, the world needs A/SOME commen language(s) to facilitate trade and relations better. English seems to be the dominent one, and will probably be so for a while...

It would probably be easier just to mail him a Cheque. I am not sure if I'd like giving out *my* bank details to the world, even if it was for someone to send me money.

Yes, I do not have paypal.
I would simply open an extra bank account for this and use this one. What kind of bank details would he publish? Alright his name, the account and what bank he's using, well big deal. Guess I missed something rather important...
As for sending it by mail: I don't like simply sending it by mail and to send it secure (couldn't be bothered to look up the correct term) and send it around half the world would prolly double the cost.

Yes I meant to say "Reap", my example was of a Farmer reaping corn. If there was no word for the process of gathering corn, that does not mean no one could gather corn, it just means another word would be invented. Thus my argument.</span>

<span style='color:yellow'>A.) No I wasn't offended really, I don't think Blue was either. That just sort of sparked a response in him I suppose and I disagreed with it, all we were talking about is "The Chicken or The Egg" theory, What Came First? etc. (Of course, logically speaking, the Egg came first, Nuetrino's rocketing into our atmosphere from space hit and disrupted the genetic sequence of the original embryo and the mutation resulted in Poultry! Or at least I think that is what the microscopic view of evolution looks like. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> ).

How much does it cost to sign up for Paypal? Is there a charge for every time you send money through the service? Is there a monthly/yearly fee of some kind? I always assumed they just took a percentage of the money you sent across or you had to pay for each time you used it. I didn't know there was some sort of membership.
I'm not even going to THINK about quoting you on that; so many colours! My eyes!

I can add by saying that there are other ways for mutation to occur. Millions of billions of neutrinos pass through our bodies each day, but the chances of them actually interacting with any other partical are obismally low. (Well, I thought so. I haven't taken University Physics, so you may want to 0wn me again)
- Radon radiation
- Freak chance mutation. (Error in protein synthesis of DNA molecule during embroyitc mitosis.
- Those cavemen playing with Uranium again
Sorry about that Reap/Rape thing, I just missed your point. Corn rapists... hehe. Ahem.

***WARNING*** Im not from US, neither UK, so my english may suck! ***END OF WARNING***
Ok, off topic again (yep, no PayPal reply from me).
First, if you wanted the most complete language to be used as universal, it would be Spanish.
Yes, your eyes are not deceiving you, Spanish is the most complete language to my knowledge (and the most i use).
Secondly, English, in terms of complexivity (dunno if its how is it written), sucks. Yes, its a poor language.
But i like it!!! Its one of the best languages to make dialogues for games and such.
No, universal language is a crazy idea, so get it off your mind. Note: In internet, english is already the universal language, so dont worry.
Also, about the "Who came first, blablabla" question, ill tell you the answer...
It was the Kharaa!!! They will control us all cause they made us!!!
About the last comment, nevermind it, was joking. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

Filled in the application form - gave my credit card as the charge point but a bank account would suffice.
Paypal charges you a nominal fee $1.39 (or slightly more).
The charge appears on your statement - part of the charge description is a 4 digit code, this is your Paypal account activation code.
Go back into your paypal account and enter your 4 digit code. You now get credited for the $1.39 charge.
Voila! You can now send Flayra your donation. Go back to the natural selection home page and follow the paypal payment links - entering your account details. Paypal will even convert $20 into ? for you at the latest exchange rates.
Well, so does my bank and they don't charge me nothing for it...
Ergo: signing up with paypal is a risk (imho giving my creditcard number to anything on the web is a risk) and a waste of time.
My 2 cents.
