<div class="IPBDescription">Should something be stickied?</div> I'm having a hard time finding the 2.01 installer for steam because my friend really wants to play it. There are a ton of things in tech support, like copying your half life directory to the steam folder, but he just has steam -- not half life. So where is the darn thing if anyone can help me..

Sry I can't help you because I tried some of that stuff and I couldn't get it to work with Steam so I just use it through half-life. Best advice is I guess to wait til the new version comes out that is meant to work properly with steam (ie has an installer).

Just install NS to C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<yourEMAIL>\half-life\ns

That what I did on My brother in Law's Machine... Ran Perfect. He had no HL on that machine. So I installed STEAM, ran it to get it configured, then ran the NS installer that you would use with WON. When it asked for an install directiory I typed "C:\NS". Then I cut-pasted that folder and its contents into C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<hisEMAIL>\half-life

Only needed the Steam COM fix for if he wanted to play COM without a FPS hit.

There's also a little snippit in the downloads section of the front page.

    Anyway, here's a direct link:

To update it to 2.01 (for dedicated servers only, no client needed), I suppose that it would work to use the regular 2.01 Dedicated Server patch.
