Siege Point On Ns_lost

<div class="IPBDescription">never seen this before but I like it.</div> Aliens have Alpha Continum on ns_lost. Most commanders either weld into the hall behind Alpha that goes to Los Paranoias or go right infront of the Hive by it's RT and siege. I prefer to move into Los Paranoias itself.

You get an RT there in Los Paranoias. Build a TF in the corner on the same level as the RT away from the stairs. Put 3 Turrets blocking the hall leading to Alpha, 1 or 2 turrets 1 step down on the stairs in Los, and 1-3 by the vent above the weldable door to Alpha. Upgrade to siege, put the sieges in the corner on the upper level and the PG should be up there too.

Advantages: Well the sieges DO reach the Hive. I did it just yesterday on a calculated guess of the range to the hive. Just inside the range. The turrets block the Onos, they have to jump to get over the turrets, and if the turrets are infront of the stairs they have to kill em first. Get a marine behind em shootin em and you can hold em off. As you siege if you got the res elec the RT and TF and Fades and Skulks will die quick trying to kill the TF. The PG up above is just so the turrets cover and the marines can respond to Oni and what not faster.

Anyways more people should try that. It works great.

yup, the weldable that lets you use the elevator is a good one to weld, becuase if you can get into the back of the small room, you can see skulks and other critters who would come thru the vent in the ceiling, and you are far away from the elevator so you can sufficently hose any larger creatures [or skulks] who try and come up that shaft.

for the other hives, cargo can be seiged from that overhanging platform that gives line of sight to the hive and spawn points, and is elevated so it's easy to defend if you get up there with a tfac and a pg

Emergency access coridor is always good to weld when you want to take down the hive, but not before as it opens both sides.

LOST is a fun map, especially with all the yello SUYF scattered around.

I definately have to say that we have lost many a hive and have destroyed many a hive from that point.

Oh and Im the only one that ever has done it and it was fun the first time, but if you open the door to alpha from inside (aliens just need to hit the use key, not sure if its a bug or anything but it opens) and go build a WoL on theinside of the far door. 8 OCs and 4 DCs at point blank range hurt quite a bit. So fun when 2 rines welded in and die right away trying to escape.

    Just yea...

I've seen it done before, guess its a surprising reach or something. Really wowow 120 res to kill 2 rines OMG advantage plz. On a more serious note, seems like a lot of waste, just to block that. If I was comm, I'd drop a tf behind them, and have my marines blow the ocs away.

Not to kill 2 marines, to stop them from building the PG and TF the comm already had dropped in the hallway expecting them to get in. It also stops them from getting to Los that way if you have 1 or 2 skulks gaurd that area. I only do it though against comms I know always use that damn hall.

EDIT: Oh and you cant drop a TF behind em that's out of range of the OC's. It would sink through the slanted floor. And that gives the aliens plenty of time to come and deal with the situation when the first siege hits, if it even gets that far.
