Good read, Ryo and I love the referance to NERV from EVA suprised that no one picked it up! Just a few niggles through. First ANZAC stands for Australian New Zealand Army Corps - A referance to detachments of army from the countries of Australia and New Zealand during WW1. I somehow doubt that we would name our dollar after our military tradition, so perhapes you could change it to ANZ?
Yeah I'm amazed no-one picked up the Eva easter egg. After I spent so long trying to figure out a suitable acronym <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
I called the ANZAC dollar that because the ANZAC tradition has a lot of meaning in Australian and New Zealand culture. In searching for a term for the currency of the two aforementioned countries, ANZAC seemed a logical choice as it is argueably the most powerful symbol of union between Australia and New Zealand. As an Australian myself with a kiwi father, I understand that the ANZAC tradition goes deeper than military formations; it touches on the distinct bonds that make Australia and New Zealand close allies today, and the shared cultures which allow for citizens from both countries to feel at home in either state. In my story, the union of the currencies of Australia and New Zealand showed that whilst these two states were part of ASEAC, they still shared a common heritage and culture that set them apart from the rest of the alliance group. To symbolise those bonds I chose the most powerful symbol of Australian and New Zealand co-operation: the ANZACs.
I hope that explains things <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Ya know, when i take over the world and turn it into a giant RTS game, im probly gonna engineer it to work out like this. Great read. Now, write a book, and sell it, make money, and get us more players!
"With the world population over 8 billion by 2031 --> By 2035 (being the last established date) With the population of Earth today at a stable 3.5 billion"
In 4 years, we got rid of 4.5 billion people but we neglect to mention HOW? This is a pretty massive unexplained event. I will call it "the invisible genocide".

Probably a typo. By the time NS is set (c. 2200) the Earth's population is 3.5 billion; the missing billions are in space. I'll just check now.
EDIT: Wait, I see the problem. This is just part 1: 2000 - 2050. "Today" in the document refers to 2200, not 2035 or 2050. The article is being written as if the author was living in 2200. Hope that clears things up.
Ok folks, over on Wayward Warriors you can find almost all of Part 2: The Expansion Period, 2050 - 2140. <a href='http://www.synergysanctum.com/ww/view.php?post=5554' target='_blank'>Link to complete story</a>
The final two chapters will be written over the next few days and uploaded accordingly. Expect a bit of a wait for Part 3: The Consolidation Period, as I have university exams to study for.

I will have to give it a read when i gets me some more time. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
