<div class="IPBDescription">can i use this map in my public server?</div> hi guys... i just finishing another ns server, with non_official maps...
in my list i have this one:

ns_delta (old version)

a friend of mine told me that this map is in ns v3 and it's forbiden to use it right now with v2 (even been old version).
someone from DEV TEAM or any player can explain me this?

I've downloade this map mounths ago... and now i can't use it in my server?

is that true?

    If it's the old version that was released I don't see why not. You can't release something and then be like "oh wait don't play it!" NS_Lost made it to 2.0 but was played in 1.04 for a long time.

    Yeah, if there is a publicly released version of the map then you can play it. I mean, its up to the mapper really. If the mapper who did ns_metal were to release the current version to the public right now it would be perfectly fine to play on a 2.01 server.. The real problem is giving out files that you do not have permission to do so with.. Such as, say.. putting a 3.0 map which hasn't been publicly released on a server.

    There is a version that is included in the 3.0 playtesting build, but I am not sure if it will be in the final 3.0 release. It wasn't confirmed at least. I had released an older version publicly before which isn't much different than the one in 3.0. If you happen to have that version which I released a while back, I don't have a problem with you hosting it on your server.
