Good idea but the spec is far too low for it to be any use for the up and comming titles this year. Doubt anyone will buy it because of that plus no mention of upgrades <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Too bad they didn't mentionm what video card it will run on <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Because video cards, or embedded video cards for the picky ones, are the problems with consoles. You can't upgrade them. But it IS a good way to get money :/
Heck if we could upgrade video cards, I don't think the Playstation would have ever existed, because you could change video cards <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
the processor is supposed to be 1.4ghz based upon via's next generation of C3 processors (being built by IBM at the fishkill plant, can't rember if its 90n or not) and the graphics is a S3/VIA deltacrome.
i'm into the mini-itx projecty things, heh, and since this console is being built by via info circulates around.. lol :x
- pretty sure the vs. other console thing they are going for is "this is a home media center, that plays games", not just a strait edge console
While its a great idea, the fact that it cannot be upgraded is really the thing that sucks the most about it. Otherwise it would be quite a viable option.

*edit* And i'm pretty positive it wouldn't play HL2 *edit*

(But then, there's console compatibility issues....)
