Info_join_team

<div class="IPBDescription">Trouble since NS 3.0b</div> I got 2 configured info_join_team entities, 1 info_spectate and 1 info_autoassign entity in my ready room. Since NS 3.0b they behave very strangely. When you step into them, you randomly spawn as a spectator or back in the ready room (the controls feel like your character is drunk when that happens).
I replaced the ready room before NS 3.0b was released so either I forgot to add/change something (altough I do have an info_gameplay and info_mapinfo entity in the map) or it's a bug which came with the latest release or steam.
Does anyone know what could be wrong?

    Have you actually got the hive room(s) and marine start? Because with an info_join_team for team one but no info_team_start entities for team one you will be zapped into spectator mode or back to the ready room.

    Info_join_team (set to team one) requires at least one Info_team_start (set to team one)

    Same goes for team two

    I tried it with the old NS and it works <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    So it looks like it isn't my fault, but a bug in the new version!

    I too had this problem since 3.0b, however, I fixed it by placing at least 16 info_team_start for each team in their respective area. This seemed to fix it for me. I really don't know if this is the actual fix, but it can't hurt to try.

    Note for myself:

    Do not forget to add the "ns_" prefix in your map title, otherwise your info_join_team entities will be severely messed up...

    I have had a look at FrieChamp's .rmf file, and each hive location has 16 team two starts, and the marine start has 16 team 1 starts. The ready room has 32 info_player_starts.

    ah, Friechamp has answered this one. Good work dude! Of course- NS_ for NS and CO_ for combat. Duh!
