<div class="IPBDescription">WARNING</div> I had a so called pcw with a clan called bP | now this was very nice of them to come and ask did we want to have a nock around so i said ok let have one.

Then all of a suddon 7 players all with veteran tags appeared on my server which was a bit worrying but we went with it and started to play in tournament mode then with in a min or so we started to see fades and Ono's but we carried on then i started to notice that they were all bunny hopping around as they killed us.

dont u think bunny hoping in a game is unfair as dident they remove it from CS as it was seen as unfair, and as u can see form the the log they like to pick on people that have only just started in the game.

They also were using SWITCH SCRIPTS and i thought in Tournament mode it was not allowed i also had SCRIPT BLOCK on the server.

Now i am not sure about the rest of the NS world but it kind of puts u off the game when u get people picking on u on a server that u pay for out of your hard earned money.

And after all this was going the clan leader pm me on MSN i answered and told him i ended the match as there was some thing not right about the game and he started to ask why, I then tried to explained and this is what came out,

Now tell me if i was wrong but dose that not sound like "YES WE USED EXPLOITS" as in graphics cards exploiters gamma set to high and then he starts to bring one of the makers of NS in to it so i ended the convo.

This is really just a warning to all the newbie clans out there as theses guys dont care how they hurt u as they just want to look like the best. well to me they are not the best they just like BULLY'S really.

im a member of Kb and i dont mind bunny hopping but we tested the full gamma test out and we could see a target that had been sat for 20secs let alone 5mins afk.

can i just say i like ns and will play it for a long time but it reminded me of them crappy cs games with pro people who like to anoy as many people as they can as you can see from that server log

Umm.. There is no problem with Bunny Hopping what so ever.. And if you compared it with CS, thats rather stupid.

Counter Strike and Natural Selection have NOTHING in common. Same as Sven Coop to Half Life Soccer.

Back to the point, the only things which can be unfair at the moment is exploits, or cheats/hacks which give the player a HUGE advantage (Gammer Hacks / Aim bot) ETC..

bP | is a good clan anyway.. Expect to see more in the competitive scene my friend

But dont u think bunny hoping in a game is like using a rock to open a window.

Not needed and well out of order.

Seen as KB | are a new clan and they are vets its just bullying really nothing more nothing less.

And i know they are a known clan god knows i no as that all they were saying is that they TOP and they KNOWN all over well i would just like them to be known more for what they really are not what the can do and that is bullying people that want to play a descent game and saying things like this is a bit out of order.

Seen as they are vets i would have thought they would have more respect for people that wont to play the game instead of making them wont to remove it from there comps as they feel S**T and they cant play.

And seen as i going to see more of them on the (competitive scene) no i dont think i will as they should stick to playing against other VETS not new players and let people know who they are not appear on a server in ones or twos and let u think well its ok there only two VETS then suddenly you are looking at seven of them.

if you don't like they're attitude, don't play them. Did you know they were a good clan before you played them? If so, what where you doing asking for a pcw?

All I can say is to learn from your mistakes. Yes it was unfair, but you couldn't just ask them to stop, as it is in the game. Next time, lay down the rules in IRC before you even arrange the day of the match. Say "no bunnyhopping" and get them to agree to it. If they don't call the match off before you even play. If they then start bunnyhopping, remind them of the rules and ask them to stop. Politely. If they refuse, end the match there and then, and explain why. Just stop. Kick everyone off the server or get your clan to leave if you don't have admin. They cannot play if they don't have an opponent.

It was not arranged one of them came on to play on my server and said lo wondering do your clan want a quick friendly PCW it was 10 at night and we thought why not its only a friendly and thats when all hell broke loose as we have never had a PCW or even done a match yet but these guys Bully ed us as u can see from the log i did ask them to stop bunny hoping and that was at the start and u saw his reply so i just wanted to put this here so some new players that are starting a NS clan would be more wiry if some one comes on to the server like they did.

Im in KB | and iit was a howwible match they were big meanies i swear they could seriously see us cloacked even when we couldnt see our own aliens stationary and cloaked and we've got some people on our team with lots of dosh and therefore very nifty graphics cards and they still couldnt see us! even so If they didnt cheat the way they came on OUR server and asked us then totally anhialated us using the skulk leap then bite script and fade blink then slash was a very mean thing to do and just cos they are good its made them egotistical and they pick on other clans for fun <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' />

The issues of bunnyhopping, scripts and gamma have been discussed over and over again. Go to the general forum section and do a search for them, should give you some nice reading to do.

I can't see what this has to do with "new players" or why you had to mention a specific clans name as this will inevitably result into bashing, one way or the other. Sorry, wrong forum and wrong approach imo <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' />

Im a KB | member too.

I played in the match concerned and some seriously wierd and unexplainable things happened.

Firstly, I believe that bunnyhopping IS a part of the game, BUT, we are kinda new to PCW's and if we politely asked for team bP to stop bunnyhopping on OUR server, dont you think they should have complied to our rules? Especially if they are vet members?

Secondly, the cloaking thing. I dont see how it is possible to detect a cloaked skulk, STANDING STILL and from round corners (ok there is MT but thats only effective if the alien is running and not walking).

Lastly, being shot THROUGH structures??? How does someone, with one shot from a shotgun, shoot two skulks, attacking a RT from behind it, and manage to kill them? <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' />

Remember the match wasn't arranged, it was totally out of the blue.

anyway that's my observasions.

I hate those scripts, i sa one useit on my, he came flying through their air and slashed me before he even landed!
I got shot stright through a res node, I got killed before i even went round a corner and i was fully cloaked brealy moving, Fallew clan mate saw me die as he was dead and spectating me and agreed it was a load of ****.
Anoth **** one was, from my experiance of the patch their is a certain distance where it would take 2 level 3 shots from a shot gun to kill a skulk, one did it in one shot and also stright through a resnode, Scince when clould you shoot through structures to kill stuff?
That was lousy bull of a match.

Newbies dont play with bp | they spoil the game for you.

My clan have played bP several times before, and I can confirm they do have god-like abilities <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

From my experience in the clan scene, usually the higher the skill of a player, the more arrogant they are. It looks like you just had a bad experience with a rude clan.

About the cloaking issue, it *is* possible to see stationary, cloaked skulks with the default settings, but it is VERY difficult. Likewise, it can appear you were shot through a structure due to lag, and the effects that may have had on the halflife netcode. Therefore, when dealing with clans like bP, it's almost impossible to tell whether they're cheating, or are just really good players <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' />

For a first clan war, bP was a bad choice - only the best clans won't get creamed by bP the first time they play. Perhaps you should be looking for matches with the slightly less competitive clans, or at least those who are looking for a fun game, rather than to win by using every exploit in the HL engine (eg. bunny hopping).

hey robin mate, dont worry im sure there will be a question if you wanna clan praccy soon, at least i know your clan is a nice clan and theres nothing fishy going on with you guys.

Also bunnyhopping is probably one of the only ways skulks can get close to a rine from a long distance without getting killed. if you walk along just one surface youre almost sure to get picked off.

I tried bunny hopping after they did it but i still dies in a flat second at the start of the round, i was like WTH. You would have to get every bullet into skulk to kill it which i have to say, how can you get every bullet into a skulk thats jumping around in alssorts of directions?
They didnt even have lvl 1 weapeons. it was an lmg too....

Bunny hopping was left in for aliens, you'll have to accept that if you want to play competatively. Some clans and players are arogant and unfriendly when their leetism isn't appreciated by others as much as it is by themselves. Thats life.

Sounds like you got beaten fair and square by a clan who wanted to prove themselves against someone with half the experience. You gained more from that game than they did from the sounds of it so dont whine. It's your server so you could ban them all if you want but thats not really a subject for these boards is it?

Find a better match and get some more games in.... one day you may be able to walk all over bP...

it was wired m8e as we did not know who they were and they never had the tags on and they were playing on our server with different names as i have gone over the logs and looks like they have been in and out of me server for a few weeks using different names then they asked for a PCW with out a tag then 5 mins l8r when i passworded the server then out of the blue came 7 member of bp| all with vet symbols and after that well u read the post Earlier.

I am not moaning i am not griping i just put this post on hear as a warning to new players of NS to be carefully as the is some NASTY (you know who you are) clans out that that want to show off what little skill they have by beating a group of new players but come on seriously were is the skill in that god if that all they can do then thats fine and as for banning them yes i did as i do not think that Guests on some one Else's server should talk about the hosts they way they did.

AND THATS THE END OF IT.
