Co_ulysses

<div class="IPBDescription">it came with 3.0 but where is it?</div> I noticed i have a map called co_ulysses which came with 3.0 but isn't on the votemap list or in the map cycle yet i can still change to it by typeing "map co_ulysses" in console.

is it supposed to be in 3.0 and if so why do no servers play it and its not on the votemap list?

Flayra decides which maps to put into each distribution. The reason you can still change to ulysses is because the map has been put in your maps dir. The install files dont DELETE your maps folder. And Flayra asked us to delete our NSP folder and install Beta 1 into an empty dir. Did you?

It's still in distribution (at least in server distribution), its just missing in mapcycle, so servers could safely enable it, clients have this map i think.

maybe someone forgot to add it to the default mapcycle?

ulysses rocks, but i cant remember last time i played on it

Ummm, you seem to be thinking i'm in constellation or vet. I am talking about the public beta. co_ulysses came with the 3.0b1 install.

Sorry mate. I dunno why Flayra left it out of the default server rotations.

I'm seeing a bug on co_ulysses... so far it's happened to me multiple times as a marine. When I walk up into the hive via the "back" way up that ramp, if I walk up the center there is some kind of invisible entity that I get stuck on and have to go around, and sometimes it'll literally get me stuck and I cannot move.

Thats just the very baddly made hitboxes on the hive, this also happens when the hive is being built and looks like it's been lifted higher into the air while building it's self, but the actuall hitbox of the hive stays the same. This means that if you fly/wall walk ontop of an unbuilt hive, it looks like your partly inside of it. In the map ns_metal when the hive is being built in smelter, it looks like the top half of the hive is in the giant pipe.

ive played on co_uslysses a couple of times on my clan server.

Had to get one of our admins to change it, it looked good if not a little bland and overly-simple. (even for a co map)

co_ulysses has been readded to the map cycle as of beta3.

(I hate it personally.)

He probably just forgot to add it to votemap or something.
