    And how they are supposed to fix internet? There is no physical way to have ping 0 on every server, so there is no way to synchronize players properly, with fast movement/direction changes hitboxes will always be somewhat displaced..

    thought it was alot worse in steam due to its netcode or something

    It was a problem with steam the hitboxes lagged very badly. I don't know if it has been fixed because I didnt see anything about it last time I patched steam and I've had a couple occaisions with shotty and skulk where it seemed to occur.

    lol yeah when a server lags you can shoot behind an alien and see the blood in thin air! lol its so cool. "OMG TEH AIR BLEEDZ!!11"

    I've run into this bug quite often, especially on the combat maps where there are a lot of fast small lifeforms. Quite often when skulk jumps diagonally into my crosshair, the shotgun shot aimed at him point blank results in nothing but sparkles on the wall behind him. That's something I haven't seen on won iirc.

    Yeah, it happens to me all the time still. I ping around 15-50 on most servers I play on and on every one of them I'll shoot a skulk in the face with a L3 shotty and he won't die. If I shoot behind a skulk as he runs by me alot of times he will die, but not if hit towards the front of his body.

    this happens in all mods. period.
    no matter what game there will be lagged hitboxes, take tfc for example, sometimes when im sniping on hunted i miss by a mile and still get a kill a few seconds later with gibs appearing where my shot was, its the same for ns, sometimes it looks like i have heat-seeking bullets which turn corners (ok, someone say something like 'omg teh heetseakign belut!'), this happens alot when either person has more than 175 ping, sometimes i'll hit every shot with my hmg on an onos, doesnt die (and yes they still die in 1 clip if every shot hits) and other times i'll miss with most and they die (then theres that bug that kills em in <20 hits), its the same thing, you hit a skulk with a shotgun, nothing, you miss, a kill, just gotta get used to inverted lag-shots i guess <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    well I never saw it before the 3.0 beta tbh. especially not that noticably.
