Cannot Lerk In Co

i have read the manuall after a long trawl through the forums becuase i couldnt find it in the NS website and then i discover that i am missing the gorge button to evolve into....so on my evolve bar i only have Lerk (1) Fade (2) Onos (2)


and then i read manual and it says i should have a gorge

    I realy dont think you are supposed to gorge in a combat map. A gorge is not a combat alien.

    I'm pretty sure he has beta 2 installed. Lerk was (2) and Fade was (1) in Beta 1.

    well i have the same problem, and it says gorge's are back in combat maps and i've seen them. so it would be nice to have a solution to this problem, since its almost pointless to play aliens if you can't be anything but a skulk.

    wait....

    You have played on CO maps, seen Gorges in the same game as you?

    and yet when you hold down+popupmenu (default RMB) and then move your mouse down (lifeforms) you DON'T see gorge??

    ok, thats realy just not possible
    it would mean that your files are different then the servers, and the the server would knowtice this and not let you join, or windows would knowtice and crash the game.


    Soloution:
    1) Remove your NSP Dir
    2) redownload the beta 1 insaller and the beta 3 patch (use different servers this time)
    3) Reinstall folowing the Directions on the download page exactly.
