Suggested Gameplay Mode

<div class="IPBDescription">more dramatic gameplay</div> I was wondering if anyone liked the sound of this idea, I have been thinking of a "survival" mode of gameplay. In this game mode I was thinking that there should be the two teams again, but there will b a littl twist. There will be no CC, the rines will start out with full ammo and a random assortment of weapons, and they have to survive for a given ammount of time untill evac arives. Once evac arives, the rines have to get to a certain area in order to be safe, its sort of like hide and seek. There should be some things to make this expirience better,
1) Random evac areas
2) Aliens should get res slower (so that they don't turret farm all the areas)
The marine goal is to hide (or stick together and fight) until evac arrives, the alien goal is to make sure no marine gets evacuated. It should be pretty intense action <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> since there will be waves upon waves of aliens and the rines will have to either be very stealthy or have good aim <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> I'm also thinking that the aliens shouldn't be able to get sensory until their second hive is up (since pheremones will ruin the whole game). 2. in my humble opinion, this idea is badly flawed and will take a great deal of work before it is worthy or restatement

I never said it was a perfect idea, but could you please point out to me as to how it's flawed? I think it would be good bcause it would increase team-work because there is a greater will to survive (since the rines can't respawn). And if let's say, no one wants to play as aliens on this map? It could jsut be a coop map against alien bots (fairly smart bots, not the retarded bunny hopper kind). Well untill you show considerable evidence as to how this is flawed I don't really see how your opinion matters in this topic.
Actually... maybe they could impliment this into the classic style of the gme, for instance, once the CC is dead the rines are hopeless, right? Well, what if there's a certain timer and a certain place for the rines to reach until time runs out? Like escape pods or something like that, now some of you might be saying "then why shouldn't the aliens get that as well?" Well, I think they shouldn't since once the hive is dead, and if that health ticker goes away and an onos jsut has to reach an area, it will take an army of rines to stop him, and if there's two onos, then you can't possibly stop them. I jsut think that the rines should still have a chance to make it a draw after their entire base has been completely anihilated.

interesting idea....
but it can't be just like that - marines run to the exit and then its a draw... that would be somehow... hm... unfair..... But somehow I get a great feeling of this Idea. But I think it's hard to make it make sense in the game
Besides, the marines are there in the first place to eliminate the aliens from the premises, not just survive. If they don't kill the aliens, they've lost. Story-wise, they could simply leave any time they wanted to.
the balance here is that the kharra get a time advantage while the marines get all their buildings instantly later on (ha, jp researched, lvl2 weps, armour). sounds interesting?

I like the idea, but it may be very difficult to implant, indeed.
