<div class="IPBDescription">It's back</div> The damage simulator is back and updated for 3.0 Beta 2! Here are some of the changes:

-Updated algorithms for 3.0
-Corrected rounding problems; should now exactly match HUD health/armor
-Added support for Focus
-Added Grenades
-Replaced Spike and Gas with Bite for lerks
-Added Alien chambers & Hive
<b>-Added Alien RT
-Added shotgun & handgrenade
-Updated for beta 3

    I think you either forgot, or hadn't coded in seige dmg for Onos. Nice work on it.

    Oh Ninja, I think at times there might be nade bugs effecting you. Similar to the nade exploits of old DoD.

    Before anyone posts about it, I would like to officially announce that Crio is a newbie and messed up the Onos armor levels. Expect it to be fixed as soon as his mom stops yelling at him tomorrow when he gets home.

    Apparently the number of hives affects how effective alien armor is. Three hives gives a skulk with no carapace one extra bullet against lvl 0 LMG bullets. An onos with lvl 3 cara dies at 85 lvl 3 hmg bullets at one hive. Lvl 3 hive it dies at <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo--> <b>114</b>. I never saw this mentioned anywhere. Not in any changelog, or the new manual. What I want to know is, how does this affect Combat? Are there any other upgrades affected by hive number? Does marine armor somehow get more effective other than upgrading it?

    The effect of more hives is increasing damage absorbance. At one hive it is 70%, then 80%, then 90%. Also, at one hive it takes 2 points of damage to armor to remove 1 armor point, at 2 hives it takes 2.5 points, and at 3 hives it takes 3 points. This does not affect combat (which is part of the attempt to balance the onos for classic and combat), and marines don't have anything besides armor upgrades to affect their armor.

    As a specific example of the effect of this armor system, let's say an alien takes 10 damage. At one hive, they would lose 3hp and 3.5ap; at 2 hives, 2hp and 3.2ap; at 3 hives, 1hp and 3ap.

    Almost forgot, more hive's, stronger carapace.
    Also, focus isn't doing double damage to structures.
    Onos supposed to do double damage to.

    -Sentry's do half damage to Onos to
    -OC's do half damage to HA

    Says it take 2 grens to kill a <!--emo&::gorge::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/pudgy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='pudgy.gif' /><!--endemo--> or <!--emo&::lerk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/lerk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='lerk.gif' /><!--endemo--> with lvl 3 grenades, with one hive and no carapace, or 3 grens with carapace and 2 hives... I can assure you that I have been one hit by grenades with carapace and 2 hives as a gorge and a lerk -_-.

    No there were not multiple grenades going off at once. These were times when the grenade hit me so it went off imeditly(sp?).

    The reason the grenades from a launcer kill you in one hit right now as the lower life forms is because of a glitch- It's launching hand grenades, which deal 200 base dmg.

    Buildings:

    When focus applied, the number of hits doesn't change, basically it sais, focus doesn't do extra damage to buildings, just marines.

    Alright, some bugs I've found:


    Ask it to display a table for a knife vs. a lv. 0 carapace hive 3 skulk, after the first hit it goes from 70/10 to 70/0, something is wrong here


    Focus should half the amount of hits it takes to kill a building at lv. 3

    Focus value's don't seem correct, it's double damage. It says Onos gore will do 179.1 damage instead of 180. Onos gore is supposed to do double damage, because it says like 14 Onos Claw's to kill a turret.

    The armor upgrades per hive was indeed in a beta changelog. It was supposed to be in from the start of the beta apparently but a bug prevented it from working until right before the public beta.

    Lol. I tryed that before with spit when I was extremely bored, quit after 2 bars were down.
