<div class="IPBDescription">It's back</div> The damage simulator is back and updated for 3.0 Beta 2! Here are some of the changes:
-Updated algorithms for 3.0
-Corrected rounding problems; should now exactly match HUD health/armor
-Added support for Focus
-Added Grenades
-Replaced Spike and Gas with Bite for lerks
-Added Alien chambers & Hive

Oh Ninja, I think at times there might be nade bugs effecting you. Similar to the nade exploits of old DoD.
The effect of more hives is increasing damage absorbance. At one hive it is 70%, then 80%, then 90%. Also, at one hive it takes 2 points of damage to armor to remove 1 armor point, at 2 hives it takes 2.5 points, and at 3 hives it takes 3 points. This does not affect combat (which is part of the attempt to balance the onos for classic and combat), and marines don't have anything besides armor upgrades to affect their armor.
As a specific example of the effect of this armor system, let's say an alien takes 10 damage. At one hive, they would lose 3hp and 3.5ap; at 2 hives, 2hp and 3.2ap; at 3 hives, 1hp and 3ap.
Also, focus isn't doing double damage to structures.
Onos supposed to do double damage to.
-Sentry's do half damage to Onos to
-OC's do half damage to HA
No there were not multiple grenades going off at once. These were times when the grenade hit me so it went off imeditly(sp?).
Buildings:
When focus applied, the number of hits doesn't change, basically it sais, focus doesn't do extra damage to buildings, just marines.
Ask it to display a table for a knife vs. a lv. 0 carapace hive 3 skulk, after the first hit it goes from 70/10 to 70/0, something is wrong here
Focus should half the amount of hits it takes to kill a building at lv. 3
