how to do it?
The two sound files for "you_win" and "you_lose" are very similar for me. so i had the idea of changing the you_win file into a song (perhaps a optimistic one) to bring some change into the game and to make it more fun for me. ok here comes the problem.

1.problem: it is .wav! ok so i downloaded a mp3-->wav programm. and here we go now i have a .wav file!

2. problem: it still doesnt work! I replaced the you_win file but it keeps playing the old one!!!

so what shall i do?

the path of the you_win file is:
steam: half-life\ns\sound\hud\
is this the right path?
plz help me!!!

Maybe you're losing ^^ That or else maybe you_win is just obsolete and it plays lose instead. I don't hear a difference between the two.

That's the only one I could find, too. If replacing the lose doesn't work, then maybe it's just hardcoded in for some odd reason.

perhaps its also the difference between you_win (200kb) and you_win (20,000kb)
    *g*
i dont know...and yes there is a difference. hit the ns/sounds/hud path and listen to you_win and you_lose. i also didn´t know the difference before. you_win is more optimisic *g*

Both of them sound like you just got hit by a bus.

The win sounds also might be server side. I have no idea. Good luck.
