Client.dll Error

I used to play NS 2.0 and recently jumped to 3.0 on steam but i always get the errors " your .dll [ cl.dlls / client.dll ] differs from the servers "what must i do plz help me out i want to play this MOD !!!

    Sounds like you installed the Beta 1 client for STEAM. You'll also need the current Beta 2 client download. Get it <a href='http://www.natural-selection.org/' target='_blank'>from the download page here.</a>

    you're playing on a beta 2 server , with only your beta 1 version , download beta 2 and your problems will be gone

    How stupid of me .. i downloaded it not to long ago and it doesnt work so NS gets update fast aswell me likes and guys thx for the help ^^

    The Beta 2 download is no longer viable as of 02/10/04. The latest patch is Beta 3.

    Click on the link I provided in my previous post and select the downloads page. There you will find mirrors to the Beta 1 client installer and the Beta 3 client patch.

    okay, i'd like to see a new forum rule to be implemented, questions without proper research (forum searches and such) should be deleted at once, and the poster banned for at least a week.

    Hmm. I like to "cut some slack" in the New Player Forums. It's pretty much a starting point for anyone who has no prior experience with NS or the forums. From what I've seen in my time here, most new posters get their first question or two answered and after that they manage to navigate the forums much easier. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    No man that's just not right. I had this exact same problem except, my Beta 2 installer was at fault. It only overwrote 4 of the files from each folder and didn't extract either the cl dll or the dll files. Took me 2 hours to realize that extracting it over and over and redownloading the Beta 2 installer didn't work, so I extracted it to a seperate folder and overwrote it manually...

    If I had come to these forums asking about this, I would have been told that I had an outdated version, which was of course completely <b><i>wrong</i></b> and then I would have gotten banned... for a <b><i>faulty installer? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--></i></b> See where I am going?
