<div class="IPBDescription">or fade.</div> So have anyone of you actually knifed an onos or fade before...i actually did i knifed 2 fades (1 is a noob and 1 is an elite) and 1 onos so far...this is how it happan.
On Ns_cage: Marines are hold up in base, onos comes in devour a ha and flee because it didn't have celerity or redemption we chased after it like a bunch of hopeless mens. Every each of us seperately load a full clip of lmg into it until it got **** and turned to fight us. The thing killed 2 rines and turn on me but i crouch, take out my knife and swipe at it like a retard and it works...i killed it. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' />

On Ns_lost: a really good fade come and attacked us and killed 2 marines and when it attacked another one, the commander med spam him like mad. So everyone fire straight at the fade while i took out my knife and kill the damn thing(the rines are like 0_o and the aliens are like -_-!!! <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /> ).
I did that again when a newbie fade attacked a marine and i was standing there watching...after a long dance ( i was helping that rine) some rines comes from the back to try and kill the fade, in its attempt it blinked straight at me..and me with my knife slash at it a few times and too i killed another fade <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' />. Well by then the alien team are accursing of me cheating and i nearly got kicked.

I am no good marine ( when i am ha i can still be take down by 2 skulks) but by then i was plain lucky..now share some of those experience if you have any.

in 3.0 or 2.0 its alot more commonplace to get a fade or knife kill (not saying theyre not cool or anything they just happen more often) so Ill skip those. I remember back on ns_bast in 1.04 I was chasing a fade with lvl 3 weaps, unloaded my lmg, my pistol, the fade went down the elevator but the door was shut, pulled out my knife and somehow got 4 swipes in it to finish it off. Wow, great, you took down a fade with a knife. I'm so happy for you.

What you actually mean is, you get the fade to the verge of death with LMG, Pistol, HMG, GL, whatever, and then stab at it and claim the kill as "skilled" or "funny". It's not, it's a bloody kill just like the rest of them, and considering 99% of the damage is done with other weapons, claiming it as a knife kill is pretty weak. Now if you did 100% of the damage with a knife, then you deserve bragging rights, but if not.... we don't care.

I've taken part in knifing an onos in 1.0. Had half the team after him. In 2.0-3.0 sure, not to hard to do it now. Fades, I've gotten one because they tend to blink away.

2 onos in 2 mins in one combat match, aint really much of an amazing thing because they were both attacking rine spawn and under fire from everyone i just got the lucky 2 hits. I've knifed two fades from full health back in 1.04 (in seperate games of course), never an onos from full though. The rest aren't really worth mentioning.

On ns_ayumi.

They were winning, had several Onis/Fades, we had a couple of HA's and som HMG's.

So one Oni ran in to our base and we chased it out of there, he got stuck in the elevator and we were like 5 guys stand on and around him, we all knifed him too death laughing <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' />

I've knifed a lot of lerks ever since 1.04, 1.04 especially since umbra was so good, cocky lerks used to just sit in it outside MS, instead of shooting with LMG and doing 1/7 damage I'd just run up and knife for 100% damage. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' />

Onos are tough as nails to knife now, in 2.0 knifing an onos was really easy. Same for fades, they take more punishment now.

beat this guys.. i got knifed as an onos. See i tried and tried to devour this crouching marine but due to my dumbness it didnt work and he knifed my backside. I didn't feel very good about myself after that but he was happy! :|

I was commanding once on Eclipse when we got rushed by at least 6 onos. My team took down 4 but the other two killed the ips. A dead heavy dropped a HMG by my chair so I decided to go down witha fight. I jumped out and got it, about 30 shots left. I downed the first onos with that HMG and knifed the other one <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /> <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /> After that we went on to <span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>lose</span>.

Believe I may have one of the first Onos knife kills... day after release, on Bast. Had wasted my ammo on a Skulk and finished a Gorge off with my pistol, as it tried to flee through the rotating door. Was already inside, having followed it, and there was an Onos waiting on the other side.

Managed to slap the button before he realized what he was looking at, and duck back inside, but he jumped in as well and started trying to Paralyze me. Pulled my knife and started stabbing, kept it up when he swapped to Gore and we got to the other side. Surprised me when HE hit the button to try to get away, and I was the one jumping after him. Stabbed 'im down with enough time to get back into the Marine base.

Remember, this was back on v1.0, when the Onos was a true force to fear (and change your pants after meeting).

knifing a 1.0 Onos was a true achievement. Most marines just ran in the opposite direction, (and they were wise considering the onos was almost unkillable)

knifing a 3.0 Onos isnt exactly rare, but its still rather amusing.

There was a Fade in 3.0 testing who amazingly managed to survive a clip of HMG fire in the back but unfortunately blinked into my knife during his attempt to escape the fire. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' />

Once two oni came running into the "old" eclipse (1.04)... everyone was shooting at them, I got stuck in between, somehow got the last damage in, knifed two oni in 0.5 seconds <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

The only time when I managed to knife a fade without any help was one game in 2.0

I was walking to a waypt, my 2 teammates already died skulks, I decided to press on. a fade comes around the corner and I empty my lvl 0 lmg and pistol into it while hopping around like a bunny on crack. I pull out my knife, somehow got in 3 slashes, fade=dead.

I was as amazed as the fade.

Seriously... Onii arent that tough to kill if you get a few people to shoot at them. And if that 1 person with the knife happens to get in the last strike, well then so be it. Either way, the Onos has dead.

The rarest kill ive seen in 2.0 is the leap kill. Those are pretty damn rare.

Back in 1.04, our base was being sieged. It was the end. There were Oni and fades and lerks and babblers, and there was a whole lot of shooting going on. I emptied my LMG, my pistol, and they took out our armory, so I pulled out my knife and charged into the fray. Jump, duck, slash slash slash, fade down. Ran forward, engaged an onos. Onos down. Charged a fade. There was much jumping and slashing. Second fade down. Then some punk skulk bit me in the legs. My entire team was cheering over voicecomm, as they were all dead and spectating me, so, we did lose, but that last marine was a bit of a problem...

It's not hard to knife alien's because you're pushed around like nothing, so if you got an Onos with low HP, It only takes a few swipes.

Indeed.

Been on both sides of that, same map always. Don't remember the map name because I don't bother memorizing them... But yeah that elevater before the catwalk next to a hive... Yeah that one.

Anyway crushing gorges is more fun than onii, because it's such a round-a-bout way of doing it, when killing a gorge could be so much easier just by shooting it.
