But once after an all-night halo party, whenever I'd close my eyes I'd see the pistol in the corner of my vision. Does that count?
me and my m8 completed halo on the xbox we played it all day. Then i had some weird dreams about having a load of plasma nades and throwing them at my friend. That count?

I liked Halo. I played the PC version which everyone slagged off (i've seen the X-box version and I realise how crappy the gfx are in comparision) and I liked it. So sue me.

I get something like that every year. When I finish my 24h video-game marathon I have those kind of views, blurry vissions, flashes of lights, and I also hear stuff.
Guess this is what happens when you drink too much cofee, eat only candy, and spend 24 hours non-stop (trust me. I can't go to the bathroom. Against marathon rules) playing games.
See, that way, one can get high without doing drugs. Another wonder of games
Erh, I don't think your vision is supposed to look like that. Of course, it is something of a cool effect. Put on sunglasses and headphones and you can pretend you're Frodo when he puts on the One Ring of power.
Sometimes I hear sounds. For instance, I played DOOM for nearly 5 hours straight, and after I went outside (barely 6 :/), I kept hearing these Imps dying, and so I went inside, cooked some food, and the microwave whir sounded like those Lost Souls.

I had the same kinda problems burr... one friend just looked at me in horror as I lobbed eerily accurate plasma grenades from the other side of the level. Course I was just guessing where to throw but it seems my grenade intuition in halo is kinda scary ^^;
He finally got depressed and stopped playing when I hit him by richocheting a frag grenade off 3 rocks and landed it right in front of him as he was running for the invisiblity powerup =s

The repetitive nature of some of the campaigns did grate a bit in places, but where it was good it was excellent. Also, it runs pretty nicely (and stably) on my fairly elderly PC - it's at 800x600, but with settings put to maximum, and it's nicely playable. I really don't know what ****-poor systems some other people are trying to run it on...
It did burrow into my brain a bit, but not quite as badly as Half-Life did when I first played that. I was hearing headcrabs for days...
Also don't play Halo...it's not that good
Anybody who has ever played 16 player halo at a lan with a bunch of friends can never go back, it's like crack, you just need more... The ghost spawn killing, tank shell spam, invisibility, building walls around the flag with warthogs and ghosts, aww those were the days....
ahh, weirdest thing every from playing too much of a game is actually waking up playing it... I've seen a friend of mine actually play CS on dust while asleep... strangest thing ever... Course he ran into a lot of walls and never got a kill, but hey, incredibly funny anyway. (He fell asleep playing the game, and continued after he fell asleep, snoring and all. )
Once I played PVK in a lan party. I started sleeping soon after we were done playing. I saw a strange dream of *surprise* playing PVK. We had 0 gravity and noone was able to get any frags. And when I woke up, I thought that where are my throwing axes (I started to feel stupid about 5 seconds later )
And once when I went to school after playing NS the last night, I thought it would be a good place for a skulk to ambush marines above a door in a dark spot. Once again I felt stupid

Halo was (is) one of the best games I've ever play(ed). Weirdest thing that ever happened to me was while I was playing level 6 with a friend at 4 AM (after a 7 hour LAN party) I got up to go to the bathroom and I thought I saw a Flood in the toilet for 10 seconds and I ran away. It turned out to be a turd one of the LANgoers forgot to flush. Weirder still, in some dreams I don't feel like I'm moving at all, I just feel like I'm playing the dream with Halo's Xbox controls (oh, and once I saw the pistol crosshair on my real vision).

The only disapointment was the multiplayer.
The multiplayer isnt' the same without the x-box.

Alcohol + Halo + Friends + betting = fun time!
Of course, that is the Xbox version.
Evetually it came down to everybody against me, I am the best and people just can't beleive that I have mad Halo skills.
It was either:
A: "He knows some cheats for this game"
B: "His controller is special, let me play with that controller"
I mean, can't I just be good?
Very scary, but hasn't happened since.
