Ns Crashing Frequently

<div class="IPBDescription">is there a way to solve this?</div>2.4 GHz Pentium 4
Onboard sound, ATI Radeon 9000 Pro Graphic card, 256MB RAM
Windows 98 2nd Edition
OPENGL or D3D(doesnt matter), 1024/768 Resolution

My NS in steam will run perfectly fine, up until about 30 mins into a game or so it will end up crashing(Automatically exit the game, or lock up). I've tried different video settings and screwed around with fps and rates to see if they make a difference but they dont. I've tried reinstalling my HL, Steam and my NS but those dont seem to work either. I've talked to other people who have this same problem and i'm wondering if it is a glitch in the ns software running on computers that have WIN9X OS's.

I'm using the retail version of Halflife, playing on steam and using NS 3.03 Beta client.

Any suggestions on what i should to fix the crashing?

I have the same problem. Except it crashed a lot faster (within 2-10 minutes)

I am using Windows XP SP1
    Geforce 4 TI 4200 128mb
    AMD XP 1900+
    ASUS Motherboard
    OpenGL or Direct3d

It will Crash, hard lock up, or reboot my computer automatically.
It does not do it for ANY OTHER MODS BUT NS.

I have also been suffering from crashes in NS since 3.0b1.

    System specs:
    Athlon 1500+@1.66ghz
    Geforce2 GTS-V
    TBSC
    512mb PC2100
    MSI KT266A motherboard
    WinXP Pro

I've tried updating drivers, tweaking system settings, and backing my overclocks down to stock speeds. None of these has helped. The game will only crash in OpenGL, D3D is stable, just slow and ugly. The only thing I haven't tried yet is reinstalling NS.

Edit: I get a 'HLlauncher.exe has encountered an error and needs to close' error, and the game closes, leaving me with a washed out desktop. I just run the resetgamma.exe that's included in the NS folder to fix the washed out appearance, and rejoin the server.

I've now reinstalled NS with no luck, I'm now making sure to copy what little information windows gives me about the error that caused the crash, on the off chance it'll be useful.

    Guys, this is a BETA.
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->The code here may CRASH or exhibit UNDESIRED BEHAVIOR. You probably won't be able to play on regular non-beta servers after you install the code here so use at your own risk.

Take it with a grain of salt rather than:
