My Ns Game Crashes Frequently

First of my computer specs.
DELL
P4 2.53 Ghz
128 + 512 Meg Ram
128 meg video card ati radeon 9700
Sound Blaster Live 5.1 Digital
Windows XP
Running in Open GL
Running NS Public Beta 3
I use Steam
Half Life Client
Now the problem is that, after playing for a while this happens like maybe 70% of the time i play NS so its quite frequent, What happens is when ever i command or just play in general and i use my in game voice chat the whole game crashes, and my desktop is bright and everything and i have to restart my computer i have no idea why it crashes, maybe its cause of the beta, Also when i fade and try to blink and attack when i do that to fast it kicks me from the server and says bad client error, or something like that. Can you help me out in anyways possible also i wanted to add i dont know if this is a bug or something when you climb the ladders you have to crunch to get of them when you are on top.
