Mmm this place used to suck, really really bad. I added detail, new lighting and toned down the original lighting. One thing, anyone know why the lighting is coming out in bumps on the trim? It should be one smooth line of light.

Thanks for the comments, i'm going to change the textures used for the white lights in shot 2 (they were just temporary). Also maybe someone knows why the trim lighting is bumpy. Is it because the trim texture lights are very narrow?

2nd pic on last page? They top at about 500 i think, if you look at the room from an angle where most detail is visible. But the room has wall details that aren't particularly obvious on that picture.

thanks cpl insane. ok this is my last (i think) screenshot before i release the map. Theres still some things to be done (tweaking) mainly and i also don't have anywhere to host the file. I guess i should go to nsworld.

Ohh yes it is a reference to the vavach orbital. buh... i don't know, vavach isn't really original either seeing as it was ripped from a sci-fi book, and i don't think it particularly suits the map. (not that resurrection does either). For easiness i'm going to keep it resurrection (the ready room has a co_resurrection texture in it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->)

i'm not sure how well or what hl does when many small lights are placed in a row.
at any rate i'd make a new texture for those lights if you already haven't and make it something like 128x4 or however wide that texture is.
im guessing here, but experimenting with different lengths might get you the solid line your looking for. or better looking lighting, heh.
