I have phobiaphobia, fear of fear. This thread is really frightening for me.
Plus I start thinking about the fact that I might get scared and I get scared about maybe getting scared, also works if someone else gets scared cause then I'm scared about whatever just scared them scaring me.
I wouldnt say im afraid of heights, but I get uneasy if I feel really exposed in a high up place. For example, theres a glass elevator that goes up this tower at a nearby amusement park (Kings Island if anyone is from around Ohio ^_^). I feel a bit uneasy going up that, knowing the cable could snap or whatnot. Im fine once I get to the top though, and am on more solid ground.
I hate bugs. I dont care what kind of bugs, I hate them. So I suppose thats my only real fear.
I have this HUGE fear for spiders, they are just so ugly and big ,with huge legs.
Also I'm afraid of not breathing, i mean something solid blocking my windpipe. That would be a trauma, i was once in a lan and my windpipe got completely block by Fleghm, at first i tried to spit it and stuff but i saw it was too much so i panicked. The owner tried to help me but i was really panicking and moving a lot, in the end a guy hit me so hard at the back i gave a HUGE burp and coughed it all out, god that was scary.
Im not afraid of hieghts, its the fall that scares me. On that smae note, I am not afraid of the dark, its just what I can't see out there that creeps me out.
My one true fear is (other than running out of beer) is....Glossophobia...

Massive fear of spiders , if i even see a small one in the bath i hide in a corner and curl up into the fetal position (exageration sp? ) , and an even bigger fear of hights , one time at alton towers , the skylifs stopped over a REALLY big drop, i **** myself <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's a phobia. Saying you have arachnaphobia just because you squish spiders is in no way a phobia at all. A phobia sends you into a nervous wreck where you panic, you don't know what to do, and in general, freak out.
I'm really not scared of anything. I get a bit nervous at heights, but it's not like I panic and try to get as far away from them as possible. I don't fear death, as I live with no regrets. I like spiders too, exception being Garden Spiders, as they're just ick.

wow speaking of spiders, my roomate has pet tarantulas. They are in 2 separate fish tanks. They got into fights when they were in the same tank. And one got its lef ripped off, but it grew back.
They arnt too bad. Its the spider my roomates friend has.

I have a fear of being soffocated by clothing. Think of a large dense pile of clothing and not being able to get any air. I guess it stems from some half dream/half real scenarios I used to go through every once in a while where I would effectively be dreaming that I was face down somewhere and had to fight to turn over. It normally took every last bit of effort I could muster. What was really happening was I was face down on my bed and not getting enough air, hence all the needed effort. As soon as I turned back over I was fine.

I hate spiders. And anything with more than four legs really. And if it has four les, it had better have fur of some kind, or chances are i'll hate that too.
I hate really big things in the water, if i'm in the water too. This one time, me and my grandad were out in this little fishing boat thingy on holiday in the middle of the sea (not erally, but we couldn't clearly see land, and this was like, a 3 man boat), and we got a wire caught around the propeller, and this really, erally big boat came past and almost capisized us. So yeah. Also, really big things UNDER the water, i think this one came from a dream i had, dunno why.
I don't like hurting people or things, which is a pain, because i hate spiders, i can't be in the same room as one without moving everytime the spider does, but i can't kill it because i don't think it's fair to take it out just because it annoys me.
i don't like open places with a lot of people, it's like i can hear them thinking, and they're all thinking about me, which is really, really freaky because you start to think "what if i'm NOT insane, and i really can read minds?" and then i get in a strange mood and start talking to myself so people get out of my way.
Pressure, fire, or water, that i can not get away from. I know this is a bit obvious really, but the idea of burning to death, being crushed to death, or being suffocated sometimes makes me cry just thinking about it. it's not really a fear of death because being shot in the head doesn't really scare me. I also get incredibly violent if i think that any of these things is going to happen. This one time, a kid was sitting on my head (strange times) and it felt like my head was crushing, and i picked him up and threw him about 5 metres (i'm not normally a violent person), and this girl tried to push me in a lake, and i broke 2 knuckles on her teeth (she asked for it. and it was funny anyway).
I reckon spiders are cool! Hate ants but always biteing ya for no reason, but spiders you leave them alone and they will leave you alone.
I don't really have any phobias but i get really scared when i know something bad is going to happen, like i can feel my heart like its coming out of my chest. I don't mind heights much but once i did rock climbing. Man i was scared when i had to take off the hook thing that was holding me. I had a death grip on the rock.
If I see one, I'll snuff it out casually with like a paper towel and down the toilet, or a shoe.. if a spider makes it on me... off me, onto the floor, into a paper towel, into an ash tray, and LIT ON FIRE! lol, if a spider runs from me, you best have fire insurance cause I WILL torch the place to kill it. Ugh
Reasons why I fear them?:
1) Movie : Aracniphobia (sp?)
2) Class fieldtrip Senior year to Brazil in S. America. A huge tarantula JUMPED onto my face, as in literally jumped from a tree trunk, right onto the bridge of my nose and as soon as my eyes went crosseyed we met eyes (2) to eyes (8). In no less than the time it took to jump on me I had already given it a proper burial half a foot into the ground by stomping with my heel repeatidly lol.
I also have a slight phobia of dieing, not necessarily death, but rather the manner of death to come. Anxiety maybe?
Heights is another big one but oddly I dont mind rapelling from extreme heights, prob cause I trust my gear, but like standing on the edge of the grand canyon lookin over.. uh uh, hell no lol.
Phobia of Jellyfish (Particulary the Man o' War)
Reguarding insects and marine life, if it has more than 4 legs, it needs to die. yes that includes octopi lol. I blame 2000 leagues under the sea for THAT phobia. Blech.
