I would like to know...

how easy it is for aliens to reach the command centre? Is it easy to protect or can aliens just get in there with no trouble? It would be interesting feature in V2 if you were able to relocate it

    AFIK:

The command station is as easy or hard to get to as the marines make it. On it's own it has no defences, so the marine team needs to set up defences (ie turrets) around one. I imagine most times it's the focal point of the marine main base, so I doubt it would be very easy to get to. Pretty much if an alien is munching on your CC, you in deep doodoo

Also, last I heard you could build additional CC's, as a backup incase the original should go down. However only one can be in use at any time, so no multiple commanders

    Hope that answers your question.

Edit: It seems that you have the impresion that the CC is a fairly large object, when it isn't. I'd say its about the size of a large fridge, or just the cockpit of a jet-plane. Uhh, let me hunt for a picy...

Ok, the CC is the building in the back right corner, with the yellow icon on it. As you can see, there's a fair amount around it, so I doubt it would go down easy

Is it usually in a small room next to the main base with like only one entrance or is it just smack bang in the middle of the main base?

For the inital CC, it depends on the mapper. I believe it states in the guidlines (for mapping) that the CC should have at least 2 entrances to it. However I don't think it's required.

As for secondary CC's, whereever the commanders puts em, really. Tho they are best in the middle of the base, against a wall, etc.

Oh ok thanks for clearing that up. Also those jet pack marines look psycho, nothing like you standard 'aliens' marine.

Heh, yeah and that's power armour their toting too

That pics from RC5 tho, so I don't know how accurate everything is, but I'm fairly sure the CC hasn't changed.

no more glowing models, they are now the heavy armor.

the CC has a ton of health, easily more than any other building than NS. There is a specific audible sound played to the commander too when it is attacked. ("Your command station is under attack.") And a welder can be used to repair it (along with other buildings). Not to mention the fact that you can drop as many new ones as you have resources for.

So yeah, they don't go down too often, but when they do its pretty much a game ender, much akin to losing your town center in warcraft, or MCV in C&C...

Say what? I thought they were two different items, and couldn't be mixed.

Power Armour - Toughest for standard marines, Jetpack equipable.

Heavy Armour - Walking Tank, no jetpack.

    This has changed?
