<div class="IPBDescription">(thx fam^!)</div>After recieving Fam^ help with the layout, ive finally completed it basically. I still need to do the vents, but im at the moment placing the PS effects (Which look great!!&#33<!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo--> all around the map, drips, Steam, Fog, etc...
I took some screenshots of the effects, but the just dont look so good in the pics, so i just dont post'em (zorry)

Ill then have to fix some CC problems i have (i need to make some func_seethrough brushes) and also some r_speed ones.

<img src="http://www.planethalflife.com/roleplayhl/team/blueman/ns/ns_nirvana_alpha_v7.jpg" border="0">

I want to add a double Resource Node somewhere in the middle of the map, but i havent decided yet (any opinions about this???). I also have the doors to open by proximity, but have to change it to button open. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    glad to see you're so close to finish, i haven't even started my layout xD

    well, i think we'll have to test it in a private server so we know how does it play (i wonder if that makes sense) ^^

    seems that the distance CC->hives are about the same, which is good <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    Go go go Blue...i really like nirvana

    Nice, i think that you should place the 2 nodes right in the middle of the map, in that circular room with 1 entrance on each side......

    Don't the marines look like they have 2 nodes close to their spawn?

    Hmm, I guess that's somethign that could be ironed out in playtesting...

    NIce job!

    Do not forget, to get those nodes, you will need to secure both of those areas, which is harder than it seems. Thanks for the credit blueman, I would love to see this in action one day. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    That looks pretty good, I don't see anything really wrong with it.  The leftmost hive might be just a bit far off from the others, but nothing bad.  You've mentioned that you realize there are some r_speed issues, which is good, since I noticed that some of those hallways are awfully long.  I am glad that you use a lot of lifts to break things up, though.  The other thing I noticed is that a lot of your vents don't really serve as shortcuts.  It's still cool that the aliens can use the vents as a means to avoid detection from marines, but for the most part they're not getting to their destination any quicker than just taking the normal route.

    If you do add a double-node (which is something that's worked well in a lot of NS's official maps), I'd suggest that you put it in the three octagonal rooms in a row.  That seems to be a nice, central location which isn't really biased towards any team.

    Looks like a good arrangement, and aesthetically pleasing too, with those nice rooms with orange light filtering down placed about the map

    mmm. thx alot for the feedback, im glad to hear that PT like the layout(hehe Fam^). The only real thing im worried about is vents. i really cant apreciate its use as i havent been able to play NS so i cant really imagine how much advantage does the vents supose for aliens. i might make longer vents to give more advantage to aliens or cut them, depending on the gameplay. I think i can have a playable version in 1 or 2 months, so....its just testing it, and sure ill send it to dev team for some criticism/ideas/help for the map.

    Well. i was thinking of putting it in one of the two central nodes there. the one next to the Marine start in the middle right part or the one in the middle upper left. (i think i've messed all up). Well. The idea is to put a double node in one of those 2 existing points..... If i undestad you, do you mean putting it in the middle right one??
