to get better one must play.

Find out the irc # where the players go and ull be able to join in some
pugs once your good enough. Thats when you get up to clan level.

Then you get really really good once your in a clan and start warring.

Good luck on your climb to the top.

The difficult part of the game is trying to remember where your going on all the maps. NS in itself isnt a fairly complex mod, so three days or four of playing should get you ready. The rest is just finding your way around the map and using the knowledge you have to your advantage with it.

    I disagree.

IMO path-finding becomes second-nature after 3 hours of playing on one map. That includes most of the vents too, and possibly some of the named areas. Certainly hive names.

However, learning siege ranges, best tf outpost positions, best order to expand along rts, bhopping, leap/bites, blink/swipes, etc take far longer to master.

Three hours of playing a map? I disagree, it takes at least a month or so to know it like the back of your hand, not three hours. Also, learning siege ranges and all that you said, is part of the map. Except the bunnyhopping (which I despise), all other ones are just a simple part of timing, which is what should take you three hours.
