    Don't take this as a flame to what is definitely an above average map, but if you made ns_power then you can definitely do better <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->. It might be the texture set you are using, but don't let yourself down when we all know that you can produce quality.

    thanks cobra, i really like the textures in the ns.wad so i wanted to do a map with those.

    I like it. It has that older NS feel that first got me into this mod.

    Most of the newer maps lack that raw feeling and are too polished in my opinion.

    Maybe it's the NS2.wad that everyone is mapping with now that loses the original NS atmosphere. I agree it seems to have sort of a ns_caged feel to it.

    I was going to say the opposite of Cobra. I really like this but I really disliked ns_power. It was what I would call...cheesy

    <u><b>Hive</b></u>

    - The Layout has achieved a simple yet <i>effective</i> Hive room.
    - the overhead beams and water make perfect cover for skulks etc.
    - the infestation has been done well, and is not over the top.

    <u>but</u>

    - Try dimming or changing the light source, to make it more atmospheric. I feel this Hive could be made better, if its darker. Your overall map style and texture choice is <b>dark and gritty</b>, so the Hive should match.

    ----------

    <u><b>Vents</b></u>

    Glad to see you have adopted some Vents systems around your map, especially going from the Hive.

    - Try and change the duct covers and texture, as it seems a tad HL-like.
    This same Texture change can be said about the red ladders. They just look out of place.

    <u><b>Marine start</b></u>

    The Marine start has been improved, by creating more room.
    But, try and emphasise the importance of the CC a little more. By re-positioning or structure changes.

    Also, glad to see you have clipped the little annoying holes.
