<div class="IPBDescription">Lol, it works</div> I like to work in a little squad. I often sit at least 3 of my friends at the local netcafe, and we kick **** as a small camping HAtrain....the last idea we used was this, 4 man strat
Man nr. 1:
SG level 1
resupply
HA
welder
sweep
Man nr. 2+3:
HMG level 1
resupply
HA
welder
Man nr. 4:
GL level 1
resupply

The idea is to have the SG and GL men in front, and the HMGmen stand in the back to cover
the GLman just picks off targets he sees on MT, best is skulks, as their xeno (if spammed by more than 1 skulk) is quite irritating
The SGman is there to handle fades.....a fade (or 2) cant come THAT close with 2 HMGmen covering..the SG will finish him off so he wont run away
The HMGmen are wildcards......shoot anything and everything they see.....also there to keep those nasty onoses away......if the men in front crouch, and the HMGmen behind stand up, its like a wall of fire....onos dont live that long...even with level 1 weaps
I find it works VERY fine....we ended up with 40/50-3/4 in that map, with most of our deaths being in the early stages.....we just weld each other and resupply gets us medpacks...and then we are back to normal... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
we tried without a shottyman, but then the fades could come, do 1 focusswipe, and then blink off....damn irritating
We tried with no GLman, and then we often got it so that 2 xenoskulks come, and they JUST manage to bite once before their xeno explodes .....and once 2 do that on top of each other its bye bye whoever is the lucky target, HA or not
With only 1 HMGman, an onos could come, stomp, eat a man, and then go away.....not good either.....
We noticed that finding a place not far from alien hive was PERFECT for doing this.....
Sadly we ended up losing...we werent very mobile, and by the time we got back to base when spawnkilling started, the CC had just died.....
The only real small weakness to this would be acidrockets (or a 10man alien team who have perfect cooperation and rush simultaniously)

But the real problem is how to have teamwork in the first place. The best a comm can do on a public server is get then to maybe stick together. More than that takes too much valuable time and energy. (who wants to lose their voice over a game?)
So until someone comes up with some brilliant idea (like the whole gaining experience if you're near someone and they get a kill in combat maps), NS maps are going to be teamwork free.
Ever try 2 shotguns and 1 hmg 1gl? Plz tell me if you do.
your 4 man squad of HAs gets transformed into 2 HA's (hmgs) and 2 JPs (the shotty and GL). The jps fly in to harrass the hive and retreat every so often to reload and get welded by the heavies, then head back in to wreak some more havoc on the hive. The GL jp can clear webs and from there they have 2/3 focus bites worth of life. They can just retreat the short distance to your secure beachhead when they've spent a few clips and then head back on in.
I'd try it but I've found it's hard to get anybody to stand still long enough to be welded in CO, outside of clan servers, that is.
