Just wanted to get a general show of hands of any new clans that are coming around in 3.0.

Post a little info about yourselves, like your name, #irc channel if you've got one, where you guys usually play at, and maybe a little bit of side info.

    We've been around for quite some time, us [NO-CD]'ers. Clan [HACKED-CD] is one you have to watch out for. Them and their offshoot [OLD-CD].

    Before I retired I actually contemplated starting a new team, but the talent pool is so dry, its almost impossible. I thought of 4 players other than myself who I would be able to work with.

    I don't expect any new elite players to come around anytime soon either =/

    there have actualy been many. tho many refuse to play er, exi or any cal-i teams, there is a rise in the number of clans scriming latley. Id say we are about at 1.04 levels, but the enthutheasm is just not there.

    I do not think that the talent pool is so dry, it is simply that there are many new players around lately (I myself have taught two new players in two days, something unheard-of for me, before). You have to search more for those who truly excell.

    I dont need those who CAN excel, I need those that are already exceled, the kind of team would need to have as much experience as I do, otherwise we won't be able to do a damn bit of good against the top teams.

    The problem is, those people cannot excell unless you take the time required to train them to be what you need them to be. You cannot expect someone with no experience to be worth anything in his first pub, and likewise you cannot expect someone to know what is needed for clan play right away. It takes patience, teaching, and practice. If you are not willing to do that, then you are right, the pool of EXPERIENCED, TRAINED, and WILLING clan players is nearly gone.

    Most of its members are from the 1.04 and before times, but this is a clan new to 3.0. Its a mutiny of Carapace.     I bet I could make a team that was top 3 cal Omega in under 2 months using mostly players who had never played in Cal-i.

    Theres alot of untrained talent out there even if alot of them think they already know everything about ns.

    Half the fun of clans is starting out in the rough and watching it develop into something great. You can't just slap together a team and expect greatness, and if you do that anyway then you are just hurting yourself.

    We'll have more Delta level teams as clans mature and the clan base increases. Right now we just need more clans so that the NS clan scene continues to grow.

    The more clans I get in CAL the more divisions I can make. The more divisions I make the more closely skill levels between clans will match. The more closely skill levels match the more fun we all have.

    Gotta start at the beginning though. Can't get to C without first going through A and B.

    The gameplay is vastly different between pubs and cws, just as the skill level between the top clans and the common people.

    Even if alot of people are playing NS, they often hesitate in joining clans, as the competition is alot higher, and the game is not the same.
    Also, something that is holding people back is the high noob-factor of NS. People in clans tend t obe arrogant and act usperior, scarign people away, while some stupid people can become hated in 5 minutes for not listening to your team, and those that know...

    Thats something for Flayra to think about :/
