You people are getting Trojan programs and Spy-ware (or Ad-ware, depending on which side of the argument you agree with) mixed up. Kazaa runs no Trojans when it's running, but it does send information to Kazaa on what you are doing online when Kazaa is running, for marketing purposes. It's all in the End User Liscense Agreement you clicked "I Agree" to. Trojans are a whole other can of worms altogether, and usually malicious.
And yes, the PT team is incredibly loyal. And, most of the time, astoundingly mature. Of course, each PT client might have some signature on it, so if it does get copied, the team would know who leaked it...

Big props to H'BNayr for spelling malicious right and for his excellent use of quotes. I would never have leaked the game, because that would only have hurt the developers and I like and respect the developers. I'm glad everyone else respects Flayra and Co. as well.
Now give me names and addresses of people not using their playtest spots so I can beat them until they cry.
...Ahem.

I am currently an inactive playtester. Theres one for you. However, this is beyond my control. I cannot play any games online, and even IRC is a struggle to get working.
If I leaked the game, then I'd have to play with all of you. Ugh.
oh, and one thing about BFP and why it was leaked... damn Funimation, they told BFP dev team that they needed to stop or change everything, and thats when they made all new charcs... so somehow a leaked copy of BFP, near final, with all the DBZ charcs found its way onto the 'net

As I recall, the build where the CC wouldn't reset was fun. 1 game per map then playing last man standing until the map changed unless Flayra or MonsE were about (generally busy doing other vital NS stuff). Yep. Lots of fun.
Or the build where Lerks were virtually indestructible. Yep. Being a marine was a real hoot. Die. Respawn. Die. Respawn.
Or perhaps the games when we changed the resource model at my behest and initially the resources were too slow. Yep. Having 20 playtesters cursing my existance was a REAL hoot.
Or...
Well, suffice to say that it's not all fun and frolics. Joining a server for 30 seconds, letting a debug run, dropping and reconnecting, then repeating for 2 or 3 hours isn't a laugh riot. We do these things so that when you chaps get NS for the first time, it will be unsullied joy. That's not to say that there isn't fun to be had, but there's actual work involved too. And it won't stop with release as a lot of the team will STILL be improving the game and adding to the experience after release.
To all the people who deserved a PT spot and didn't get one, all I can say is, thank you for your patience. You'll be rewarded VERY shortly. Think of it like meeting a beautiful woman who you never have to see without make-up. The playtesters have seen that woman drunk as a skunk at 2am, throwing up into the toilet.
I'll stop talking about dating now, before Fam starts to cry.

Uh... why would they punish us for something a PT did, especially when they could nab him/her for violating the NDA.
We did have one time where there was a small problem with a "tester" (long story), Flayra quickly quelled the problem though, and no one in the public noticed, speedier than us Forum Mods!
The other time, someone can running to us yelling that they found NS to download on BlueYonder. We dropped our game and came running to IRC to look. So yes, we don't give it out, cause we would lose our PT status, which would just suck!
Well, besides the fact that Flayra really did his homework in making the beta secure, and my sheer respect for the dev team keeps me from even thinking of leaking it, I think the fear of a former Marine calling me a n00b until I jump out a window overrides any benefit I would get for leaking the beta.
