Actually I do both, most all of my planet have level 10 or 11 of everything (excluding SB of course). Thing is, I've been doing alot of fighting which = lots of levels which = lots of SUs which = high level buildings. So my fleet pretty much = my building levels. Also soon Ill get cruisers, so happy.

By the way, is anyone planning to make the TSA alliance? I still like the idea of TSA for the more experienced ones and NS for the newer ones (who can gain a lot of experience here) - if anyone is willing to do that, it will be good fun. Just so you guys know, Transmission is a traitor and dishonorable "ally". In the beginning, we allied with Montikore, and about two days ago, he asked me if I was willing to betray him. I decided strongly against it and haven't heard a thing from him since. A fleet from a player in a foreign system has been launched against me, which will arrive much sooner than it would have had it been launched from his base system.
Obviously, the conclusion drawn is that Crisp(Transmission) has allowed this player to use one of his planets as a staging ground to launch a surprise strike against me, as one of his planets was seen sieged earlier, and prior to this, no defensive measures were taken. Now, the sieging force is gone, along with an attack force on my way.
So...being a "lucky" mug had nothing to do with it, he backstabbed Montikore, attacking him without breaking off any agreements, and has sold me out to this other player.
Way to go, some real skill and strategy there /sarcasm.
My layman view would be that SU value will continue to rise.
Imho there will be quite a close balance between people buying SU's to increase planet levels or investment (!?) vrs people selling to finance artifact procurement or PP buying.
New players joining the beta will be selling them off but established players will be buying (cheaper than spending the PP on gaining levels).
I think that prices will gradually increase. Only flatlining when the balance of people are selling SU's and not buying (major confrontation stages or close of beta).
Sorry if this is repeating what you know the mechanics already <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Plus Ive just been saving up and not spending on big fleets like some of you guys.
I took out the fleets and now Im using the other PP from my 7 SUs to attack my new enemies planet. With the help of ex fellow TSA KVNase.
Rationalize treachery however you want, I'm sure you'll feel differently when you're on the recieving end. Also, it's one thing to betray some guy who you made a NAP with just to keep him off your back, it's another to betray a current or future alliance member.
At any rate, what's done is done, and berwatchey has wasted his fleets and my time. I don't see what his strategy is, by launching yet another fleet of 144 DS + only 1 transport against the same planet he attacked before, which has 10 pop btw, not sure what he hopes 1 transport will accomplish even if he did win...which he won't, level 11 SB + 126 DS will be ready in time to defend. Though I'd rather be using that fleet to secure some more worlds rather than defending, but who am I to argue against some easy XP. (should be level 10-11 after this fight).
As for being a TGD member, perhaps he is the younger brother of a member or something, pretty sure his strategic ability wouldn't have played a factor.
yay - my fleets destroyed the SB10 starbase. Mt transports arrive in 1 1/2 hours to take over <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo-->
