Hivemind Sounds

Sorry if this has been posted before (I couldn't find it in search), but what triggers the random hivemind sounds exactly? I'm thinking in particular of "NOW WE DONCE" and "THIS PLACE IS A MESS" - obviously you get now we donce with three hives and mess when you're losing badly, but they don't play all the time so I wondered if there was special triggers for them. Also, were the other ones in the sound/hud directory such as "This hive is mine...", "We need better players" ever used in the game in a previous version?

I've noticed the "Now we Donce" file play usually a few seconds after the third hive goes up, or the 3rd level of the 3rd chamber is constructed.

I've never heard the "This hive is mine..." in game at all. Can't be too sure about the players one though. Sounds familar.

Ive heard the "this is my hive" on voogru once, but there were admins on so it could of been them... <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' />

"This place is a mess" happens when your team has a lot of deaths, I haven't heard "This hive is mine" in a long time, think it played sometimes when you got the second hive, most of them are probably broken <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' />

I've never even heard OF "this hive is mine."

What I'd like to hear is "now we donce" being played much more often. Nowadays, you almost always hear "hive construction complete" instead, and that's just boring.

it actually does-if you listen real closely sometimes when youre 3rd hive is done, you will hear, "NOW-HIVE CONSTRUCTION COMPLETE!" they try to play over eachother.

"This hive is mine, there are many like it, but this one is mine"

On one server in particular that I play on, typing the word "hive" in the say command triggers that to play on all clients. Its just a server-side mod. When you join the server, you download all the little sound clips. Also the, "We need better players" is triggered by saying "noobs" with the say command.

Ah, I love those sounds... I have "This is my hive..." set to play when my computer starts up, and with my NS wallpaper, it just seems so appropriate.

Anyway, I think the sounds are mostly random, though I did first hear the "This is my hive..." sound while running across the top of a hive.

IIRC "this hive is mine" was triggered when a gorge got multiple kills at a hive, or gets the kills then places the hive.

Wait. Just a question...

In my previous post I told about that server with the plugins to play those sounds on all clients.

Does anyone know what that plugin is?! I've been looking for that forever for my server... but alas, I cannot find it.

So in other words... this is my level of frustration:

I thought "this place is a mess" was played when there was a lot of rines/rine buildings going up in a live hive.

I've only ever heard the "This is my hive....." sound once, and it appears to be a play-for-all sound, since I was on the marine team when it happened. I have no idea how it happened though.

"Now, we donce" only seems to play with either the third hive finishing, the third level of the third chamber finishing, or both. Also, it only seems to play for aliens (well, back in 2.01 it only played for aliens). I haven't heard it since 2.01 though...
