<div class="IPBDescription">may sound stupid but it works</div> ok have any gunner just keep shooting at them with 2 or more knifing the onos..cause the knife makes the aim and screen bounce around..so he cant devour u or gore..stomp is prolly the only counter but if u have him sorrounded no way he can stop u all..he has maybe a 20% chance of hitting u..goodluck..reply if u want..but dont flame me or anything...:EDIT:this is if your shotguns are upgraded or somthing..so dont go saying..shotguns pwn them..well guess what shotys are almost useless with lvl 0 and 1 upgrades..on onos that is..

Because the screen bounces around a lot for the Onos, it becomes rather difficult to escape with you view bobbing around.
But the way I found best is to engage an Onos head-on
1) Get a guy to stand in the door and block the onos as he leaves. Those extra seconds can often get them.
2) (Works for fades too) Get a guy to NOT shoot the onos and wait with a full hmg clip beyond the door. When the onos runs, he's low on health and not counting on a guy being there and that guy WILL finish him off.
only problem is trying to convince your tema mates to do this "take down" but other then that it would work
Who uses redemption onos?
i never have a problem when this happens to me...
it just makes it easyer to kill that many more people for me...
any way, knifing an onos just makes it much hrder to devour someone, and harder to gore depending on which way your screen bounces. but the again if you have just a knife and your against an onos your screwed......

But really, I wouldn't know if this works or not, as I simply do NOT use onos... too big and slow... lerk = MUCHO better... supersonic with celerity, fly/glide in (you are SILENT when you glide BTW) bite once or twice, and fly out, heal, repeat!
He will be dead before he gets backup or gets out of the room.
Also throwing a grenade on its back when its running away is quiet effective, got a few over eager onos that way.

Also, as he is leaving, switch to pistol and empty it - that's 200+ insta damage.

You hold him away from something important. (one rine running is not important)

Now I say thats win win anyway.
Cause whenever it happens to me I'll be scream "ONOS at (X)!!!" into my mic as he tries to play with me, and then I'll die and someone else will say "Onos..." as they see the devour thing on their HUD, as if they never heard me. And I'll type "Is my mic not working?" And that same guy will reply "Yea, I can hear you just fine."
So yes, I guess that death by onos IS the only way to tell the team that there's an onos running around...

an onos always flees, always. you should try to block that exit, or make it useless because he should get killed before...

-in origin, there should be a marine in the door going from ms to biodome. when the onos opens the door and passes to ms, the marine closes the door.

-let him in a bit, for example in eclipse MS or a lockdown, you should let him come in as close as tu your face and then start shooting. ALWAYS works.
By the time the onos tries to flee is likely because he is low on hp, and when he encounters a marine blocking the door he will probably panic and try to go around him or jump over him (which is almost always useless, since onos are way too fat to get past most blocked doors) giving you precious 3-4 seconds until he decides to gore you (He will probably wont be able to devour you, as he will likely be devouring someone already. The tactic most onos use: devour the first marine, gore the rest) but it will be already too late.

This is why he needs a push effect on marines and skulks. Stuck is the onos worst enemy.
