Lag Problems...

<div class="IPBDescription">Game unplayable</div> Whenever I come into contact with a few teammates/enemies, my ping shoots way up and I am unable to move. This problem applies not just for NS but for half-life in general. I have expirimented with the rate, cmdrate, and updaterate..yet have had no success or noticed any signifigant changes in gameplay. Everything used to work properly awhile back, im not sure what the problem is.
I am on windows XP with a 2.8 ghz computer..I'm pretty sure my computer can handle half-life.
Yes, I am on dial-up..half-life used to work just fine online on this same exact connection and number.
Im not using steam. (Using The All Seeing Eye)

    are you ussing steam or won? ASE is just a server browser, we sorta need to know what servers your using.

    oh, and more:

    1) Make sure to disable QoS Pkt schedular (look a few threads down for something on choke issues I think)

    and tell steam to not auto update any games (especialy CZ) Again, look in same thread.

    I guess im using won servers, then.
    Im not using steam, therefore I cant get on the steam servers.
    I couldn't find anything on the pkt scheduler or whatever it is.
