<div class="IPBDescription">Do ya play it?</div> I'm just getting into airsoft now, and wondering who else on these boards does as well. I just bought a <a href='http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2232375755&category=135' target='_blank'>JAC MP5A5 Gas Classic</a> from Ebay for $460 with shippng. It has a brass chamber upgrade, and he also threw in two other upgrades for $50 all together which are an upgraded sub chamber and hardened o-rings. The range on it is about 100 - 125 feet without hopup, and once I get a hopup module on it it should be shooting pretty far. As of right now the gun shoots 450 FPS, thats enough to make you bleed if your shot fifteen feet away on your bare skin, so naturally I have to tone it down a bit to play in most official events, and also to be able to shoot it on full auto!

Anyways, enough about me. Who else on these boards plays airsoft? And have you got any tips for a new player? I still need to buy my camo, low bearing vest, boots and helmets, and also an air tank with a hose to run to my gun (its not electric).

    me and my friends have airsoft, but we have too many bills to drop on $100+ guns, we just have the spring pistols.

    i've owned too many airsoft guns. had sort of an addiction. this is all before i saw the light and started combat style handgunning w/real guns =]

    neways I like paintball I am pro league with 3 angels!!! airsoft isn't too bad I like deagles. so expensive though D:LL

    There have been times when I've been semi-interested in starting up airsoft, but then I see the cost of the gun itself, then open up shotgun news and find something approximating the real deal, in most cases, very near to the same price - cheaper in some cases. Can't really justify it to myself when I can spend the same money and get the real thing.

    yeah but when you shoot somebody with it, more often than not somebody is gonna come complaining <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo--> and skirmishes dont have much replay value.......
